TBF, I just think it is too easy to blame the guy nobody likes, sometimes **** happens in football and it really isn't anyone's fault just good/bad luck.

Missed the game so only going off of MOTD - one thing I noticed was our crossing. Ojo and Milner got assists for 2 quality crosses, Origi's 2nd goal was a cross into a great area, and Moreno put in one for Origi who should have scored.

I believe we've scored the most goals in the PL this calendar year - considering we've missed Sturridge for large parts and haven't used Benteke, it goes to show you that we can improve our goal scoring without having to bring in a big name striker.

Changes to the system and playing players who suit that system are far important - as we've seen at the other end of the pitch as well. We're still struggling at set pieces but we're not being cut open as much.

I think we've seen a lot of progress this season under Klopp - can't wait for the summer now.

I agree, it's been a good first season overall and the future looks promising.

Good to have Studge and/or Origi vying for striker's place(s), and don't forget Ings is to come back. Goodbye Benteke though, with thanks for the efforts.

true, though it looked like a little naivety from Ojo as he lost Bojan for their goal. That said, we NEVER look secure at defending set-pieces with Skrtel.

It's nice to see the goals have been shared around as well. Origi, firm, Cout, Milner, Hendo have all chipped in with 5+ goals this year which is useful from midfielders. It's been important since we haven't had 1 big goal scorer.

I do feel sorry for Benteke - was never good enough and was never going to fit our style.

The idiot that signed him deserves the blame.

Did anyone see Klopp trolling Mark Hughes by the touch line where he was being sarcastic and said 'oh I'm sorry' ..

Then after the match, he said it was a long ball festival lollll.

    he did nail the guy.

hughes came with a terribly regressive game plan. I don't know if this is par for course with stoke away or cos it was us.

It was only crouches second league start but they do have some injuries.

I didn't even think we dealt all that well with it as stweart for example was not tasked to be there to cut out every knock down.

stokes better players didn't do much and thier full backs were their most dangerous assets.

Klopp bascially rested half his team and still nailled the guy.

Now can, locern, sahko, lallana and coutinho should all be fresh enough and origi and firmino will be too.

Yes, totally agree. I don't think he has the intelligence of Studge or Origi either. It really hasn't been for lack of effort though. Plus, it also seems to have got Villa relegated.

Mweh. I'm over Benteke. Don't dislike him or anything but he was a mistake and I don't think there is much he can do to change enough to fix it.

    Good luck elsewhere

Think he's out for most of the remainder of the season..
He could/most likely has played his last game for us.. unless we have another striker injury crisis!
I don't dislike him either, I actually felt sorry for the lad, he tried his best but his best (this season) wasn't good enough..
If he was the striker that finished the season strong last season for Villa, then he'd have bagged a few more goals and in turn we'd have a few more points..
