0-0....

Well, we dominated but yet again couldn't stick the ball in the net. Can't really complain too much about the performance... 11 men came and sat behind the ball and we didn't have a striker to put away the chances created.

Could be worse.. we could be Chelsea or City <whistle>

Thing is, we have all these fancy technical players that can create great build up play, but none of them have a proper finish on them. Then, other than Sturridge, we've got strikers who are incapable of reaping the benefits of this build up play and thrive on a different style of play

9-0 shots on target, some great saves, some other chances wasted

we should have started with Lambert or Borini. at least give ourselves a chance with a striker up top.

Sterling just hasn't got the knowhow to make a yard to get a shot, with his pace he should be able to do that, his shooting is mostly very poor too. We are really struggling to score without a proper striker/s to make use of the good play. I was hoping for Lambo when he put Borini on. We needed a beachhead in that box and Lambo was our only option.

We need a quality striker big time, Studge just can't be relied on to stay fit

I dont know, another fixture in the middle of a massively busy period. It will have an adverse effect, better off not being in it.

We'd better of not being in the FA Cup... so we can what... concentrate on winning the league? <doh>

**** sake, why bother watching football if you don't want your team to win trophies.

I'd take the FA Cup over finishing 4th <ok>

I agree, but we aren't going to achieve either of these goals with our current strikeforce

I think we will be really good when Sturridge is back, only thing that's missing. how long before the next injury is always going to be on our mind though

Very quiet on here considering we failed to beat a Championship team

I'd assume given how long he's been back and training that he's not been rushed back and he'll only return when fully fit which should mean he doesn't suffer a recurrence straight away.

Fact that we have 4 forwards and 3 of them aren't playing because they aren't good enough (when 2 of them were summer signings) is such a massive error on the clubs part.

Nothing wrong with the formation or the way we played: even the pisspoor ref isn't the main problem. It's games like this we need a proper goalscorer for - and that was so evidenced by Borini. And most of our midfielders, good as they may be in build-up play, don't score enough either.
