This scenario is gonna keep happening to us for the rest of the season unless we sign a striker or Sturridge somehow becomes indestructable

We probably aren't going to sign a striker until the summer at the earliest so I think Rodgers needs to find a tactic that gets the best out of Lambert, Balotelli, Borini & others in our squad like Gerrard until the end of the season.

Speaing just barges into the back of Henderson when clean through... ref bottled it again.

Lallana heads over... nice link u between Couts and Stelring again.

That's where we needed Big Rick :(

Aside from Sturridge, this is pretty much our best forwards playing. Can't score against Bolton.

Nice run from Markovic, but decides he has no left foot and just puts it out of play with his right instead <doh>

Why the **** are the commentators keep going on about Lambert not coming on?

Johnson decided to kick the ball into the area with no one in there....

He's been alright but for some reason just doesn't offer a threat going forward anymore.

Borini headers just wide

Thing is, we have all these fancy technical players that can create great build up play, but none of them have a proper finish on them. Then, other than Sturridge, we've got strikers who are incapable of reaping the benefits of this build up play and thrive on a different style of play

To be fair, they are all midfielders. Not many midfielders are brilliant finishes and most only contribute 5 goals a season. Sterling, Coutinho, Lallana, Markovic.. none of them are strikers.
