Liverpool are in 5th

At a guess it's more to do with premature gloating by the Liverpool fans and the current momentum of both sides. To go from 1st to 5th inside of a week is kind of funny especially for a club like Liverpool who have been on the cusp of great things for over 20 years! It looks a bit like a case of being able to dish it out but not being able to take it.

oh i get that aspect, but it fails quite dramatically when you are still below us after 2 straight defeats to title chasing teams. :D

I think Meth is worried tbh

Can't see too many upset in this thread TBH, I'm merely laughing at Ruff for thinking that bumping that thread somehow twists the logic <laugh> I can understand why he's trying to twist it as I wouldn't have liked to have been on the receiving end when it was first posted but it was in good banter.

At the start of the season I said you guys would get third, I still think you'll be closer than some others have suggested but then, its hard to pick between the ones that truly mean it and the ones that are just trying to rub things it on a rare opportunity for us. We were always going to have a bad spell over the festive period, again this is something I've said all season; IMO it is the only part of the fixture list where you can claim it to be unfair because the best teams have bigger squads to cope with the fixture congestion. In other words, Man City and Chelsea have enough player to keep things fresh, we don't.

Reading your pub thread would suggest some are upset though Gerrez.

To be honest we've taken **** from Liverpool fans all season which has been fair enough, you've waited along time to be in a position to throw it back at us so I don't begrudge your lot doing it.

However for how **** we've been and how brilliant Liverpool have been there is only two points between us, we are in a semi final and champions league knock out.

Some of your fans seem to want to begrudge us taking the piss though ?

Anyway, hope u and urs had a good Xmas dude.<ok>

I invite any Liverpool fan to provide evidence of suarez scoring against a big side this season.

I also invite you to show how hes not a flat track bully right now.

For those who dont know what a flat track bully is, its a player who excels against smaller, weaker sides but is ineffective against better sides.

In essence its Luis Suarez 2013.

I invite any utd fan to look at the table. :D

Can't argue with any of that Eric, I've been saying as much myself most of the season <ok>

Yeah, we had a good Christmas pal, hope you did too <ok>

PS...I did say in this thread too :)

You are ****, we are just playing the two hardest away fixtures in the league. There's a difference :D

A run of 4 easy games and you're all "oh we're back" <laugh> Even then blind luck got you the points against Norwich and Hull
you are just thick guy then <ok>
we played them both early in the league .. <doh>
this is what the guys were trying to tell you since ages .. yet you chosen to ignore that and focus on the momentum

Weve been ****, Liverpool have so far been 2 points better than ****. About 0.1 point per game better.

Low expectations.

It is exactly that.

However, apparently some actually believe it to be the attempting of twisting the logic, which of course makes no ****ing sense whatsoever.

The truth is, both on this board and on their own, they had a little premature pre Christmas jig of joy at their lofty position and now the bells of reality are crashing round their ears they can't handle a bit back.

Which is a shame, given scousers are supposed to have a sense of humour. But then, you need to be an actual scouser to have one i suppose.

You seriously don't get it? The quotes are a bit of a give away <doh>

Fair enough on giving **** back, after the bollox that's been thrown at you guys its only expected, but to try and beat us by bumping that thread is ridiculous as the whole point of it was around those quotes and where Liverpool were at Christmas! Do you not see where you are failing...?????? <laugh>

I'm a neutral ... but your post is, fundamentally, irrelevant tosh ... Luis Suarez from a neutral (perhaps sane and untainted by any deep seated fervent bias) perspective has been the best player in the Premier League this season by some distance followed, perhaps, by Aaron Ramsay ...

'Big side' - firstly that's irrelevant, but secondly who do you class as 'big' for this purpose - he's scored against Everton (currently 4th) and destroyed Spurs (whilst scoring) - two of the so called Champions League place contenders - he was a constant menace against City and set up a perfectly good goal for Sterling which was incorrectly ruled off-side ... he has been fantastic this season and has single handily scored 3 times as many goals as Chelsea's 3 international strikers combined (against the same opposition as they have been facing) -

I can understand that as a United fan you have no love for Liverpool - but you do need to have a word with yourself and get over the irrational bile as it devalues your posting credibility.

Bumping it is ridiculous?

So, while you and your pal Astro were delivering your pre Christmas knock out blow and heartily chuckling to yourselves and back slapping I suggested you were being premature.
It was then closed.

Just thought I'd remind you of that, that's all.

Instead of continuing to whinge about it, why not accept the stick you're getting back.

Feel free to read it properly <doh>

Bumping it in an attempt to beat Liverpool fans is ridiculous considering the content of the OP. IE, the point of the thread is still relevant and will be no matter what happens between now and the end of time. It was pointing out that some posters were wrong.

Anyway, you're boring the hell out of me with this as its like talking to a brick wall.

Very nice.

The big sides are pretty obvious really. Spurs and Everton are not in that bracket.

No argument that hes been the best player so far but hes all too often found wanting in the big games against the sides challenging for the title.

Hes not the first player to suffer from it. No doubt he will destroy hull on new years day but had he found the net in his last 2 then who knows.

Its also a counter argument to the claim hes currently the best player in the world. Quite a fair one.

Good, feel free to **** off anytime you like.

I'm sure there are plenty over in your 'pub' willing to agree with you that it's unfair other have bigger squads than yours.

Night night.

<ok>

Is it funny, really? We are four points off the top and just one point from fourth having visited Stamford Bridge, The Emirates, White Hart Lane, Eastlands and Goodison Park already this season. You won't find too many upset Liverpool fans. In fact, most would have taken this position had it been on offer at the start of August <ok>

Amen brother
