Let's ring the changes, so 4 come in. Fair enough I say, but would still like to see Woolfy as ball carrier. And most of us will breathe sigh of relief that Judge is not even on bench. 2-2 honest entertaining draw. COYBs
I was a bit unkind with Judge, hamstring trouble it seems, still good chance of several to claim their places.
Sounds a good game, and as tho we have reverted to our better style of play, creating chances. After last match mauling, if we get the 1st, it will do us no end of good. Lincoln one of the top teams clearly.
Good game, nice to hearTown playing well, both could have scored. Johnson playing a blinder up front, shame his Dad cant be there to watch him. Lambert got his team selection right, hoorah! (Apart from Woolfy, but he will get his chance again)
Town have just edged the first half for me. Our free kicks always frustrate me. Perfect position to aim for the top corner but as usual in the Evans era nobody is bothering to practice direct free kicks. They might only contribute a couple of goals in a season but it’s the difference between wins and defeats.
0-0 at half time then. Lincoln look better than us, sharper passing and good team build up should have resulted in at least one goal for the home side. We have been ok, too much playing it around at the back for my liking. It's all well and good keeping the ball but you have to do something with it. Ward has been good at LB, Lankester is dong a bit of a Judgey and hasn't stayed wide all the time. Hawkins is leading the line well and Bishop is finding space in between the lines. Nsiala has been alright so far. We need to increase the speed of our play and get on the attack quicker to get a result here. We do need to be careful not to go too gung ho though or Lincoln will will be able to pass through us and score.
Shape at the back is really all over the place. For example, if Chambers bombs forward then one of the midfielders needs to drop in and that isn’t happening. Chambers is really not much use to us in that advanced position anyway. So dangerous when we are playing out from the back. We have got away with it so far but we could easily come unstuck.
