Let's hope he's not saying 'this is the way the season ends, not with a bang but with a whimper' come next May.

Good to have a reader in the dressing room.

Meditation is to dive all the way within, beyond thought, to the source of thought and pure consciousness. It enlarges the container, every time you transcend. When you come out, you come out refreshed, filled with energy and enthusiasm for life.

Have to say he is clearly a very literate and level headed guy from the article that he wrote on his farewell to Exeter. I look forward to seeing him apply his hard working ethics in a blue and white hooped shirt for us with great interest. I hope all the fans take to him, sounds like he could be the 'new Gareth Ainsworth' if things go right for him and us.

I crossed paths yesterday with a guy I went to uni with 20 years ago, in a city neither of us live in. He's an Exeter fan and said great things about this guy.

I'm beginning to like what we are trying to do...

What IWAWR has said on the finance thread, paying off our debt
Getting people like Scowen and Wheeler in
Getting in youngsters like Owens Chris Paul and Bright

It would be nice to have a steady and improving season.....
.........................with no "scences", no losing runs of any length, no manager sackings, no end of season frights and no FFP injunctions.

Am I asking for the world

I've always liked a winger who understood both staying wide on the touch line to receive the ball and iambic pentameter

Can anybody please tell me why the club has allowed him to post his blog as an official club item? Frankly, reading much of it, I’m faintly embarrassed for both him & the club. There’s nothing wrong with it per se, but when he steps outside of footballing matters and expressed political views I can’t help but wonder why the club allows it through official channels. Shouldn’t he use Twitter or something in his own right?

Personally, I’d rather he concentrated on being one of th first names on the team sheet and built upon the promise of his debut.

I think I like him, but...

I haven't read any of his previous efforts, but I guess you're referring to his current column where he uses the fact that he represented the club at a meeting with a local food-bank to make some fairly anodyne political points about the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. Nothing too controversial there, I would say, but then I suppose if he was using the column to peddle some right-wing stuff about immigrants and benefit-scroungers, I would be complaining. Just as well they didn't give Karl Henry a column.

    I agree Uber

Politics, religion etc.. are not one for the workplace, you have a diverse workforce and customer base (the fans) with a lot of differing views on the world and there is no point alienating people, fans will jump on players back for any old reason so there is no point making yourself a target.

(not a new poster, but was never a 'prolific poster', I managed to lock myself out and couldn't get a password reset ages back now, but finally managed to getting round to getting back on the site.

I think you are wrong here Uber...He has been asked to do this by the club, I am sure it is vetted by the club. It is part of his "community work"
His two controversial quotes I assume that you are talking about are
    1. Why FIFA do not bring in video replays ASAP?...He says some decisions are mystifying....not hugely controversial
    2. Foodbanks. Which is a statement of fact and not politics. Hoos is also in the picture and it is supported by Hammersmith and Fulham council itself.
Incidentally, the club have asked for supporters to bring along food for a food drop at the club this week (which I will be doing).
This is again admirable, part of "QPR in the Community" and not political. Wheeler is just blogging for the club.

And really Uber, if blogging 100 words for the club on a Wednesday, is the actual reason that he is not the first name on the team sheet....I would dispair
