Hopefully, it’s because he’s conflicted about the move. He’s had the most successful season of his career, and ours since 08, so, I would imagine it’s not an easy decision. I also don’t believe it’s totally football related, after what happened with their son Theo, I can understand the pull of wanting to be close to family.
We all know you want him gone Red Robin, as he’s shown your idol, Nige, for what he was, average - not all of us want LM gone, and would love him to stay.

Steve Lansdown is guilty of many issues over the years that has driven managers away from a club that seems more than comfortable achieving nothing other than avoiding relegation. How on earth can he expect the leading managers to want to work with him at Ashton Gate when I think it has been clearly stated on many occasions over the last few years that he is not prepared to spend money on making Bristol City an annual contender, yet alone a promotion possibility. I truly believe that if Lansdwon was to get off his high horse and allow some kind of freedom to his manager(s), with proper due diligence of course, perhaps as a team we could progress further than even this season. We were so close this time and again I feel the total lack of respect for Liam, particularly the lack of support in the transfer window, is probably one of the main reasons why he could be leaving for Norwich. Only when Bristol City get all their ducks in a row and hire a manager with a little forward thinking who knows the game inside and out with good contacts to bring in players that only fit his bill. Will it happen this time - NO, so perhaps a previous manager is being lined up behind the scenes.
still of a mind that we got away with bloody murder last season, yes we picked up some good wins;but a few teams around us that were well fancied either bottled it [ yes boro were talking about you] or seemed to be on the vino collapso,we cant kid ourselves we we were worth a play off place, dont get me wrong im not anti manning, but lets see how he goes next season- presuming that hes going, with the expectations that come with the move,
Think there was no murder and you finish on merit but the team last month was bang out of form and in the play off werent competitive. The team had peaked. thats your legacy manning youve bailed on your team going backwards. behaviour quitter.

as stated previously we were where we were because other teams failed to consolidate their positions ..... points wise over the whole season we were pretty [ groups of 10/12 games ] collecting the same number of points, which showed we were pretty much above middle average.

I can’t believe the amount of people saying we were lucky, or didn’t deserve to be in the play-offs. Who cares, we were, for the 1st time in 15 years, and a 46 game season doesn’t lie.
What more do some of you want…. Jeezo, no pleasing some. Would you rather go back 2-3 seasons where we always had one eye over our shoulder on the relegation fight - I sure as $hite know I don’t!!

Regardless of other more fancied (and funded) teams failings which has been well documented, history will show that we made the Playoffs for the first time since 2008
We finished 6th which is an achievement in itself
Quite agree, we've had high and lows all of our recent history, near bankruptcy because of bad planning and exorbitantcy, then, austerity and prudence due to covid and financial restrictions, get back on 0ur feet, appoint a bloody good coach who had reasonable support initially, achieved 6th place and playoffs despite absolute negatvity in the winter window from the Lansdowns and BT.
I don't blame LM if he moves on and I for one think we did bloody well under his leadership and thanks to him for a great season despite total let down from Jon boy and BT.

Question, how much longer are we going to let this combo of Junior and BT contiuously balls up our manager or head coaches. (Pearson/Manning) ?
I guess until SL wakes up and smells the roses. BT should have gone after the mess up with recruitment last summer, it cost the club £m’s. As for JL he’s going nowhere unfortulately.
