Hull City A.F.C.
Liam Cooper has joined League Two side Chesterfield on a permanent deal.

Good luck for the future Liam.

I'm not suprised but I thought he could do a job for us, he was massively under rated

Your'e supposed to say "Coopers done one"

Expected him to leave, albeit a bit surprised its only league 2, if he'd gone on loan to Portsmouth in the summer he might have found himself being picked up by a better side but he decided against it and has obviously done well at chesterfield.

How much have HCAFC payed over the years in wages for the privilege of letting players like Cooper, Devitt and Cullen play for other teams?

Certainly has potential, lost his way a bit, or his face didn't fit with NP/NB/SB for some reason. Good luck to him, if he keeps is head down he could get into the high leagues in time.

Personally I think it's a mistake. He's still only a kid and I think given enough experience he would have done a job for us in the future, he wasn't doing terribly when he played at the back end of last season. Always good to see local lads play for us, so it's a bit of a shame. Anyway I hope he does well with Chesterfield and they get promoted.

how much did we get for him? hang on a minute, don't tell me he's another player we have given away for nothing.

To be honest, at the end of last season, I thought he was good enough to play with Chester until Hobbs returned. Though obviously, the likes of Faye, Bruce and Macca have all done very well this season - so Cooper didn't really have a chance of getting close to the team.

Good luck to him - I hope he can at least get up to the Championship level one day, I certainly think he is capable.

he could never have competed with with alex bruce. steve's even bringing his lad on in midfield now to give him his appearance money. can't see cairney hanging around when alex is rated better in midfield than he is. thats football i suppose lol.
