I don't think so. I think it's about the period until Redknapp did his leg in, allegedly, and the owners realised that they were on a fast track to debtors prison if they kept it up.
You are right mate and the win against Forest kept us up. I agree we would have deserved to go down if we had lost all eight.
Here's some comedy gold for anyone who missed it when I did a thread on veet. https://www.amazon.co.uk/review/R3GDDEL1SC1QQ5
I like him very much plus he is one of us for a start same as Sir Les Both of them to that can contradict themselves anytime they want in my book as you can only deal with the power of now We should ourselves lucky to have two passionate honest humans at our club Win or lose we stick together We have had an episode but the infected are at least recovering This is QPR
Love Ollie, love his passion, his honesty and enthusiasm. I believe we're in safe hands and we've turned the corner. The only line that concerned me was "everyday in everyway I'm getting better and better", the last time I heard that it was said by Frank Spencer and he wasn't exactly a winner.
Interesting interview from Holloway, with a lot of rhetoric that we have heard from him before. As has been mentioned in earlier posts, some rather bizarre statements that seem to be a mirror of our bizarre season last year. The interesting points that seem to be coming across are our forays into sorting out the academy and bringing young, up and coming possibles to the club. As has been said many times before, there are no quick wins here and can be a bit of a lottery. That said, credit to the management on taking this step - I just hope they see it as a longer-term strategy that will be fraught with failures and successes. I shall be watching with great interest. Meanwhile... get things sorted with the tools you have Ollie and show it's a team worth getting into for the youngsters. With many here, I am still dismayed at the failure to see any cup competitions as being of any worth!! 10 changes is surely a road to failure and a waste of fans time and money - just as all those 'tombola' (perfect description Col) team selections were at the end of last season. Ollie... this year it's your team, your selections, your tactics. Own it. And make sure you don't take this club down! We're all with you and want the team to be successful and to see the team winning.
You know something maybe, just maybe we've turned the corner away from all the crap of the last few years, the Hughes', Redknapps' etc of this world, the sh1te signing over the hill has beens and never beens, throwing stupid money about by TF whom I believe finally gets what QPR FC is all about, a group, family, loveable club that plays good attacking football, punches above it's weight on occasions. We'll have disappointments, but equally we'll have some successes. We have good decent QPR people running the place and a competent CEO who knows what it is to work within a small club budget. By jove I believe we've got our Rangers back (again). Up The R's
Although it is a very long read, it is a good interview that gives a great insight into the topics often discussed on the forums. Clive did a good job in asking the correct questions.
Great interview with some probing questions by Clive, answered openly and honestly by Ollie, much to his credit. Whilst I worry whether he's past his sell-by date, I just LOVE Ollie's enthusiasm and his passion for our club. I don't know whether it was just Clive's editing but Ollie was talking a lot of sense and didn't go meandering off on one of his crazy rambles. Made me feel almost positive about the future!
