Bit of fun but thought this was an interesting chart which tries to measure 'luck'.
The vertical axis represents luck which is basically a combination of how well a team finishes their chances (high conversion rate) and how well they don't concede goals (where the opposition has a low conversion).
The horizontal axis represents how many high quality chances a team creates excluding penalties.
Focusing on Liverpool, it would imply that we've been quite unlucky in terms of us being able to create a high number of chances but not finishing them OR our opponents are finishing a high % of their chances. The good news is that our attack is creating a high number of quality chances - we just need to be more clinical.
The encouraging thing is that despite our lack of good fortune, we're still joint top. Whereas Spurs are creating very well but enjoying good fortune in both areas of the pitch which is unlikely to sustain.
