That was the joke/criticism of the labelling. :emoticon-0100-smile

I think deflected would go down as an OG if the original shot was off target.

Don't worry. I got it and noted the same issue with the labelling.

    Damn you Bayern Munich!

It could be argued though that Munich has fewer challenging opponents in their league. Rome looks to be one wasteful team.

It's measured with xG rather than actual goals, so I think it means Roma are having lots of hopeful shots that are less likely to go in.

    Xg is just rubbish anyway.

It's a high level subjective thing that doesn't explain the real detail of what goes on.

I get what you mean if they could have done something better with it, but for me wasteful is not taking a decent chance rather than a not so good one.

Ok. Two different wastefuls. Yes my presumption is taking pot shots and wasting possession in attack rather than creating proper and realistic shooting opportunities.

The chart shows all games but the axis title doesn't show all of the names (due to the lack of space).

But as you can see, our pressing has been nuts over the past 10 games or so. This could be the heavy metal football that Klopp was long associated for but on steroids.

Thiago's performance vs Wolves was really impressive.

25% of the team's total pressing on his own
    45 pADJ (97th percentile)
14 high value - most by any player this season. Record is 16, Thiago's best is 15 at OT last season

Only Fab has more direct PW (12x2) in a match than Thiago's 9 in this one (started distinguishing direct wins from turnovers at start of 2018) 29 net presses, only Keita has more this season (34 vs Norwich) 10 group presses, 2nd highest by any player in a match this season

Chart below shows the players who are the best at keeping the ball and also progressing it up field ..

Hard to believe that we signed Thiago ...

Guendouzi is a surprising name up high on that list. Having good season back in France it seems.

VVD and Matip both good at winning duels and getting us up the pitch.

Just goes to show how big a miss they were last season both from an attacking and defensive aspect.

soyuncu is very poor for a guy with a big rep. Coadyis unsurprising as a sweeper whos there to knock long balls about.

Surprised Azpi is not on the list as RCB. rudiger and silva are progressive as a back 3 allows it.

Its also interesting city lose so many duels. they are designed to be a progressive team

we want to win second balls. we want the big header. We are not that interested in surrounding a keeper and giving frees away.

you can also see villa and west ham wh odo want to beat up on a keeper and throw it to far stick making inswingers their main attacking threat.

if english refs acted like european refs these clubs would be relegated!
