Probably peak Hanson. Peak Barnes. peak nicol who won poty, peak mcmahon (vastly under rated), Beardsley was great. Houghton was all energy.
They like to believe pressing was invented in Germany or passing through was a Gerrard to Torres thing but you could see exactly what made thst side great and it would make it great today.
Barnes was a hero.
