I think he will be gone soon. I’m unsure how I feel about it to be honest.

it took arteta and klopp a good few years to get their teams challenging when they took over. I think the issue is they still didn’t finish as low as we have.

I’ve posts stating we should get the manager of Crystal Palace, yet he plays the same system as Amorim.

I think mistakes are still being made at board level. We shouldn’t have got rid of Hojlund. Could argue we should never have never gotten rid of McTominay. Though I challenge anyone to have said he would end being nominated for the ballon dor. Quite why we couldn’t get Donarumma either is madness when he is arguably one of the best in the world. Instead we get another nobody from a **** league.

I’m resigned to us being ****.
I had the response below written out yesterday and it’s interesting that you brought up McTominay.

Resigning to us being fked for a while is probably where most of us sit regardless of how we feel about the manager, one way or the other.
And guess what, we'd still have the yawing gap in the centre of midfield due to the current lack of legs and quality.

If it gives him some breathing space though, he should definitely have that double pivot (Mainoo and Casemiro IMO) behind a three and a one, until such time he gets his legs in midfield, hopefully January window.

He won't though, so this is only heading one direction.

I genuinely hope he quits instead. And gives everyone a large **** you on the way out. Let some other sap try to get the likes of Ugarte, Dalot , Bayindir and Shaw to play some football.

Calling him out for not being able to improve players of such limited footballing intelligence is ludicrous to be absolutely honest. But he is trying to fit some square pegs into round holes at the moment and it needs to be resolved.
I want highlight some points here that I believe work against us. We demonetize our players as the source of the problems and not the manager that is responsible for training them, holding them accountable, and making sure that every single member of the squad steps into the pitch to punch above their weights.

We’ve had the likes of McTominay who was slated for not being good enough for the club. But went on to Italy to win the footballer of the year award. We had Mainoo again City not too long ago scoring. But at the age of 20, he’s already deemed not good enough for our golden club.

We just sold off Hojlund for half price and got another player in Sesko who is starting to appear to struggle under the weight of the formation and expectations.

The trend lately is that no one is ever good enough to play for the club. But we should consider this… Maybe, just maybe, the environment has become so toxic against creativity.

Newcastle are considering a January move for Manchester United's 20-year-old England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo. “

I really hate reading these kinds of gossips because I fear they are true. I would rather lose the manager than see us lose yet another academy graduate.

We'll see how Scott McT does tonight in the Champions League, which is a level above what he's been playing in, which is at least a level below what he was previously playing in the premier league.
He wasn't hounded out by supporters, at all. He was a useful squad player the club decided to sell to balance the books. I hope he tears one into City, but he will probably not, because it was always against the very highest level he was found a bit wanting.

It's quite ironic that he was actually replaced by Ugarte, who is ****e, was ****e when ten Hag bought him, remains ****e, Amorim knew he was ****e because he sold him to PSG in the first place, and is a turd that can't be polished.

You are highlighting my post as I mention him and a couple of other players, one being Dalot. Who has been at the club for years under many managers yet still makes mistakes and can't defend properly. Tries hard, doesn't actually have the talent to kick on, and reached his ceiling years ago. Again, what is Amorim supposed to do with him other than hope he shows the discipline throughout a full 90 minutes to carry out his instructions?

Shaw is similar, for some different reasons, and we all know Bayindir will soon be replaced by Lammens as he's not that good. So I stand by my comments.

Who has said Mainoo is not good enough?

It is not productive to go from one player to another as the reason why we stink on the field. The fundamental issue is the system, and far less so about the quality of the players.

And just because Amorim is performing worse than Ten Hag doesn't justify the lack of decisiveness when it has been confirmed that a manager is not fit to lead the team. When they fail to meet the basic threshold positive goal difference, it indicates that they are utterly unfit for the job. BIN THEM!!

If we bring in the next manager and he can't win 15 of 30 games, get rid of him as well! Funny, Klopp was mentioned earlier, and Arteta. Those managers were nowhere near as terrible as Ten Haag and Amorim, even in their early days. Liverpool still scored goals and entertained. Likewise Arseal. But here, we have been fkin stinking up the league since Ole left. It is quite comical.

What the club needs to do is become more decisive and stop making excuses season after season, why some douchebag manager collecting millions should be given more time.

On another note, it is clear Amorim no longer wants to be around. Back in the day, he would have quit his role. But the insane contracts that they now have to reward abject failure with top payout once sacked are a disgrace. This is another example of how money has completely overwhelmed the game.

Reckon he's got next weekend to save himself.

And by that I don't mean kick the can down the road with a win, playing his usual formation.

I mean by showing flexibility and not playing his formation.

There's a decent starting eleven out of that squad, but it doesn't include Dalot, Ugarte and Shaw, or Bruno in midfield.

It would include a back four, a midfield pair of Casemiro and Mainoo, and Bruno centrally at 10.

It's now down to Amorim to see that.

He can revert back to what he wants to play after they've signed a Baleba or Anderson in January, and an actual RWB.

Until then, the players available have to dictate the formation, he has to stop pissing about playing key players out of position.

Shaw is like playing with a handbrake on. His every touch was to either hold the ball for too long or, his default setting, to play it backwards. It's not all his fault, Dorgu is playing well in the space that Shaw used to enjoy, but he isn't suited to his new role and is a hindrance. I reckon Ineods will give the manager until Christmas - the big problem being who to replace him with..............

Football at the very top is a psychological game. And I do not believe buying the best players the land has to offer will make a difference under the current manager.

Besides, the notion that a manager needs to get all the players that he wants before he is effective is just madness. This is not a video game!

The most damping issue with Amorim is that he is sticking with an ineffective, now a certified failed system, at the expense of everyone else - the players, the club, and the supporters. It is a big finger to all. Really unfortunate! Must be doing it to accelerate the big payout. It is hard to think of other reasons why an individual would self-sabotage week after week.

You need to cut about half of those off your list and you might have a point.

We just need a few more signings and three more years of Amorim to know this will work.

Do either of you two actually watch the team play or do you just go off results?
I guess that small statistics called results, those tend to be most crucial part of the game.

And yes, I probably watch more of the games than you given I'm not in the UK.

You have no idea what i am getting at do you, i kind of knew results (points) matter.
How do you think points are achieved?
I think improving the way we play and players starting to build understandings might just help a little bit with this problem.
