Delap I think can play wide right, so could be quite useful to have another striker so Delap can fill in up top or in the wide right position especially if Burns is injured. When Hirst is back the physicality and running power of having him and Delap in the same team could be useful. I also think the role McKenna asks of his strikers means they're going to get battered so to keep that intensity I think we'll need 3.

As for Sterling, I think unlikely (although I said the same about Phillips) but he's the type of player I'd like to see us get in terms of direct runner but also someone who can get in behind. Whilst I'm not his biggest fan England have looked some much more fluid and balanced with Sterling in the side because he's a willing runner and gets in behind something we lack when he's not in the team...too many play makers, it's similar when Burns isn't playing the runs they make creates the space for others to do their work. Kane looks a different player when Sterlings in the team.

We sign a number 9, we have Hirst and Delap, Hirst will be back in about 6 weeks, then what....we have 3 number 9s. We can't sign someone every time we have an injury. I mean what if Delap gets injured.. are you saying sign 2 more number 9s, just in case 1 gets tired or injured? Then when all fit, we will have 4 number 9s. I mean I am happy for us to sign another 9, I would love it but ....not at the expense of more important positions. If we can afford both then great but CM and CB are more important atm imo!!
I actually do think we need one more striker but first we need to bring in at least 1 CM and 1 RCB

Hirst is injury prone, he’s going to eventually come back for a few weeks and go back to to the treatment table before long. Same with Burns.

And I am not sure what role Johnson played wen he came on for Burns. We do need someone who offers pace down that right wing wen Burns goes off. Yes Hutch may be the answer but I do like his wizardry playing behind the strikers. Like others his final touch & pass were not as sharp as they will be after a few more games.

And of course we have the mighty Man City not Accrington up next!

And lets not forget the hot weather effect when we pressed so well 1st half, leaving our fit players knackered.

From the video I've seen of Cajuste before he signed for Napoli he literally looks like a younger more mobile version of Morsy. I'm assuming this could be his long term replacement. Tenacious and likes to take the ball in tight areas and lose his marker.

Interesting that both Phillips and Cajuste have very similar characteristics to Luongo and Morsy, so assuming these are the roles they will fill.

However looked like Cajuste played a bit higher up the pitch for Napoli, so maybe he can also play in the 10 position which might sure us up a bit.

For me we now need to strengthen in the wide area plus a striker.

And a replacement for Wolfenden!!!

What do we think about the Broja loan signing, obligation to buy if we stay up, 30 million.....wow, really!! I don't think he is worth more than 12 million

People who don’t rate Woolfy are at odds with McKenna himself. Sometimes he can appear too relaxed and laid back, but that cool head is also an attribute when the pressure is on.
For me it's more the too slow and weak!!
Don't mind calmness on the ball, I support Barça don't forget, used to calmness on the ball, altho not so much of late!!
