Hence we laughed it off, mind he knew his stuff on horse racing ( something I know nowt about ) he gave some of the lads some good tips. All this “info” was from some stable he was “connected” with.
Like I’ve already said he was a bragger / bullshitter so I took it all with a pinch of salt
Hasn’t felt right for a while now. Even at the start of the season and our poor summer window, it felt different.
This season has been a big drop off from last season, last season we were great to watch and i didnt care as much when we lost games as I knew we would always go out to win them. I have said a few times each window is an opportunity to improve, and while i do think we have signed some really talented lads the balance just isnt right with this team. Thats on the recruitment team who have had more good windows than bad but have had 2 poor windows (will judge this one when its over) imo.
Something didnt feel right before the Beale appt, in fact it didnt feel right when TM was in charge at the start of the season.
The issue i have is when you make an appt you really should be trying to improve on what you have got and as supporters we should get a buzz about a new manager coming in - instead its been the opposite
I was so deflated when we were linked with Beale, yes his coaching sessions are meant to be brilliant but i just dont see a leader at all.
He is in over his head imo and if we lose the next game at home to stoke then the atmosphere will turn even more toxic that i dont think he will survive.
KS has done so many things well for us and he still has credit in the bank for me but a lot of that goes if we dont strengthen this month and we stick with the wrong manager for too long
Mistakes happen all the time but the true leaders will correct n own their mistakes
Could Beale turn it around - truthfully No, i dont think he can

So, why did we stand back and let Carvalho go to Hull. I guarantee he’d have rather come here, and I guarantee Liverpool, who we have a great relationship with, would rather send him here.

It would be really tough, the match is a social thing for me. I enjoy going to the pub before hand with my dad and mate then chatting to the blokes around us when in there. I’d miss that for sure but if weighed up against a murderous state I couldn’t bring myself to go.
Would probably buy a dodgy box and have my dad at mine to watch it after a few beers.
We were in for him, but he chose Hull or Liverpool chose Hull.

We read the apology and how things would change and yet standards are that low we missed cleaning that off.
