it is getting like this more and more on here. This is the only reason why I only tend to read and not post.

I would imagine there are hundreds of potential posters that are City fans that see the content and think I can't be arsed with all the name calling.

Each to their own, personally I'd find it rather dull without calling people a blithering idiot or a simpering buffoon. Saying that the moderation on the BBC 606 was ultra strict and it did lead to creative and very witty ways of abusing each other, but it could be hard work getting abuse by the mods when just calling someone a **** would suffice.

Well done AA for backing Steve Bruce in his quest to bring in more decent Players even though it seems in this case we have not being successful.

Potential mid table club with unproven manager

Or

Potential mid table club with proven manager and European football??

Would have liked him to come, but if can't see the potential as a pro entering his final years then glad he's not coming

Lescott would've been a solid addition, a shame if he goes elsewhere. On the one hand you'd maybe hope we'd have some pull with European football but we have only been up again one year, there's no guarantee we'll make it to the group stages (or beyond) and teams like WBA have been established in the league longer. Might also be willing to pay more wages.

On the plus side, this leaves more money to sign Steven Gerrard because Steven Gerrard is really really good and everyone likes Steven Gerrard.

They're the only team to finish below us that didn't get relegated, I'd have thought we'd be the more attractive option given their history as a yo-yo club. I know they had a cracking season under Steve Clarke, but it looks like those days are long gone.

Don't really see the point in name calling. I have from time to time done it when someone has had a pop.
A lot of threads are spoilt by the name calling though.

I have two mates that read not606 but would never contribute due to some of the s***e posted.

agree with this :emoticon-0150-hands

I think he lives down there, from his Wolves days. Would have been a cracking signing and even though we've missed out it hopefully shows us the type of player Brucey is looking at

If he really had genuine intentions of coming here he would of in my opinion.

Of course he would. They'll have offered him a better deal and if he feels more comfortable in that area, he was always gonna choose them over us. He isn't going to make them a better team, we had a squad of players better than theirs last season so all is not lost.

On Ince, there's been nothing other than a photo of him on holiday with Bruce, which happens every year.

Nothing official but lets wait and see what happens eh ?

But its not denied and Lescott said it wasn't about the money. Now WBA are saying it is all about the money.
Sky Sports News are now reporting his signing as 'imminent'.
Well he likes his cash does Lescott.

Dawson would be just as good, well almost. Plan B then Mr Bruce.

Lescott currently having his medical, I think we can now give up on this one.

I'm losing no sleep over this one. He's well past his best and slow as a tanker. And his wages would have been a real problem. We dodged a bullet. With Chessie and Davies we have two great CHs and will add another good backup to supplement Macca and Bruce. Much more important to add a young LB like Bertrand, sign Snodgrass to give us an attacking threat down the left, and focus on Ince and Maguire.

You know the more time moves on over Lescott the more i am thinking that Dawson would be a better option. Plus Dawson could well be a better fit into the squad ethos.
