And we’re back (again) - 5 races in 11 weeks, but it feels like we’ve barely got going, despite the fact that we’re only just over the “race every 2 weeks” historical norm.

Back to back sprints for the first time I think - the reprogramming of the audience continues.

Some interesting driver market stories in the news in the build up.
- Max implying that if the 60/40 PU rules get through, he’s likely to stay and that he’s very happy at RedBull
- Hamilton confirms he has a firm contract with Ferrari through ‘28 and that he’s currently minded to stay in F1 beyond that

Other things I’m looking out for.
- Worst circuit we’ve been to for energy yet and a better test of the rules tweaks
- Mercedes and McLaren (again) have big upgrade packages, can Ferrari (not likely to be a good circuit for their engine) and RedBull hang on to the lead pack?
- Strong circuit for Russell and Hamilton, who could both do with hitting back against their team mates.
- Can Hadjar get back close to Max in an improved RedBull or are we witnessing his transformation into another classic RedBull Second driver as the car improves?

And who can stop Kimi Antonelli ?

And who can stop Kimi Antonelli ?

It seems so! Although if -when it matters - he outperforms George at a circuit he seems so strong at, I’m going to have to seriously reassess my evaluation of several F1 drivers…

Good positions for the Ferrari’s, but a big McLaren sized hole between them and Mercedes that might be filled by qualifying?

Karun just said Lando may be taking a couple of laps to recharge the battery! I thought they could harvest 8.5MJ per lap and the battery only had a capacity of 4MJ!
So why would Lando need a couple of laps to fill the battery?

Did anyone see the Perez incident? he got 10s pen for something, was shocked when I saw he was running in 11th, big jump forwards for Cadillac.

If we get a wet race tomorrow, which looks probable, it will be interesting to see these new cars and how the drivers cope in the wet. Will the veterans do better than the younger guys?
