A sad day for safc and their supporters. A legend. R.I.P. Len. Thoughts are with his family and friends.

Him and aces were the two full backs when I first started going to games, brings it home to you how short your time in this world is. RIP.

Len, Cec Irwin and Jimmy Mcnab all made their debuts on same day and went on to play over 1000 games between them

Although I only saw Len and Cec play on a few occasions must say they worth hard tackling traditional full backs.

    RIP

    Len

Sad news indeed, I'm old enough to have lucky to see him play many of those 400 appearances, hard but fair RIP Len, class act.

Loved watching Len in the days when the team almost picked itself; Montgomery, Irwin, Ashurst, Harvey, Hurley, McNab, etc. with my favourites at the time Johnny Crossan and Brian Usher. R.I.P. Len and thanks for the memories.
