There's a sad story behind this, btw. Shako was due to join them & appointed me as his agent. We were due to sign on the Monday, but we went to the pub the previous Friday. Next thing we knew, it was a fortnight later, and ......................... ................ Shako had shrunk! The weight of the beer in him reduced him from 6'10" to 3'3", and he was as wide as I am!
So you're saying he used to be normal height? What happened in those two weeks to turn Shako into an Umper Lumper?
Morning WJ how did you get on with your e-ticket? My young lad and myself got into Billys just as it opened. Our first pints were like drinking disinfectant served in the new save the planet cardboard cups. The next bombshell was that Billys and the whole stadium was card only, no cash. Luckily my son had money on his card. I was nervous about the e-ticket stuff and Shane had both our tickets on his phone. Anyway we arrived at the Southstand stiles at 12.00(earliest I've ever been) and checked with the senior steward as the others hadn't a clue. It was grand Shane scanned me in first and him second so it worked. Now I don't know what it would be like at 2.45 and loads trying to enter. A part from the beer cups and card only, it was a great day out. Back at the end of the month against Everton to do it all over again.
Aye, I got in, Shako. I posted on the other thread that our cleaner couldn't make it earlier in the week & came in Saturday morning. Just by chance, she used to be a PC World techie, so she fixed it up for me & put it in a wallet that I could work! I'll prolly have forgotten how to do it by the next match! She had a Dickens of a job, right enough. I've lost / broken so many laptops & phones over the years & it appears that I'm still logged into them, even though they don't exist! And of course, it wanted a password change. Not easy when it appears that you've got 4 or 5 Googles with different passwords. LOL. No idea how she fixed it, but she took about an hour & managed about 10 shocking swear words a minute in her efforts, so I had no chance. She even had set me up a Leeds-only Google at one point to get round it. I should've come over to Billy's. I was in early for once, so was in the Peacock car park eating my breakfast from McD's & reading my book. I was just so, so happy to be there that I never thought of going for a look-see. I bobbed over to the ESL at 2:45, by coincidence, and the queues were huge, but moving steadily. So you're over for the Everton game too? Right, I'm voting you in as the organiser of a meetup for that day. Get a thread started asap!
