shocking lads another park the bus team we didn't beat what made it worse we actually scored first. to many passes and not enough I'm having a go stuff. running into blind alleys or basically confusing ourselves. the ref wanted everything to run freely what people want to see but we didn't want to play that way. They realised and got stuck in and we played like pansys . frustrated as hell another 2 points dropped against a not very good side.

I just don't understand why we bought Piroe if we are not playing him in the position where he has scored most of his goals. As a 10, he just doesn't seem to have much impact on the game, as he is not exactly mobile but he can finish. I'd like to see him given a run in the No 9 position and see if it leads to us converting more chances into goals. Surely it would be worth a try coz the current setup just doesn't work against teams who park the bus.

Meslier - 3. Another quiet game but another question mark over him for the goal. That cross was in the air for a long time and the header was inside the 6 yard box.

Gray - 6. I'm just copying and pasting this every game. He's doing remarkably well for a 17 year old midfielder playing at right back but he's not a full back.

Rodon - 7. Untroubled all afternoon. Needed his keeper to collect for the goal. Couple of excellent pieces of defending when 1 v 1 late on.

Struijk - 7. Solid, good on the ball. Decent performance.

Spence - 7. Very promising performance but had to come back on to his right foot too often once he'd beat his man. Buy a ****ing left footed ****ing left back for **** sake and play this lad at right back.

Ampadu - 7. Controlled the midfield. Very intelligent reading of the game snuffed out Coventry breaks before they became dangerous. Sloppy pass led to their goal though.

Kamara - 7. Neat and tidy. Combative. In games like this, the partnership with Ampadu doesn't create enough and he's not good enough to displace Ampadu at 4.

Piroe - 3. Not involved. Another copy and paste job here but why pay for the divisions best 9 and play him in midfield and starve him of the ball. It's more a reflection on Farke than Piroe here. He's no playmaker.

Summerville - 7. Great goal but was mostly hauled to the ground and kicked in the air which the referee let go far too often. That stifled his game. Still hangs on to the ball too much and ended up losing his rag toward the end. Very talented but still very naive. Needs to use his teammates more to get the best out of his abilities.

James - 6. Workrate never in question. Will battle all day long. End product has dipped the last couple of games after a fantastic run of form.

Rutter - 7. World class one minute, pub league the next. Another assist but another highlight reel of missed chances and opportunities. Frustrating couple of weeks for the lad after a great start to the season.

    Subs.

Gnonto - 4. Looked like he could be dangerous. The reality was that he created nothing and ended up waving his arms around and moaning at the ref. Had a chance to score the winner but decided to pass it out wide instead of shooting. Rat!

Bamford - 2. Didn't really challenge, run or do anything really. His two notable touches were him tripping over the ball. ****e.

Gelhardt - 2. Not involved. Lost the ball everytime he touched it. Got to be the last time he plays for Leeds now, he's had his chances and has gone backwards.

James should have scored the winner at the end. Summerville is too greedy and showboats too much for me at times. We are a very good team that just doesn’t finish our chances enough and we are either very unlucky or our keeper isn’t good because more often than not it doesn’t take many efforts on our goal for us to concede a goal

That’s pretty much been the case since Bielsa came here.

Forgetting the result and performance for a moment but we seem to be getting very little protection from referees atm, well most of the season actually, at least 2 of those fouls in the first half were bookings plus the pullback, the more the refs let them get away with it the more they do it. Summerville must ache to **** after most games, takes more than his fair share of whacks

If anyone is too greedy and showboats too much it’s Rutter. Like it or not Summerville has been our best attacking player this season whilst also tracking back and doing great defensive work.

Without him, or Dan James for that matter, we’d be lower half in the table.

Summerville isn’t perfect but he’s been outstanding this season but comes in for some unwarranted criticism on here, whilst the faults of Rutter are constantly overlooked.

    Very strange.

Essex, I think/presume the criticisim of Jimmy is results based - when we don't win people get frustrated with his decision making. It's a pretty common critique of most wide men. It's their job to try stuff and it won't always come off. I didn't see the game yesterday, but Summervile is young and decision making is an area he needs to work on - but he's been great for us this season... without doubt our best attacking player.

I posted midweek that i was starting to run out of patience a bit with Rutter. Feels like Fans have gone from blindly ridiculing him last season to blindly idolising him this. Talented lad but much to learn.

We're tetchy as its a been a disappointing week.

Where would we be without Summerville quality finishing this season because none of the rest of them are capable

Agree with you about Rutter but that doesn’t make me wrong about Summerville. Yes he’s been excellent at times, but because of the showboating by him and others, we don’t kill games off when we should. Shocking miss by James at the end, no need to go that much for the corner of the net, just hit it low and hard like their header.

Summerville 10 goals, Piroe 8, James 7, Rutter 4 goals but 9 assists.

Our problem is the opposition requiring a shot or two on target and scoring. Meslier is the same guy we had last season and the one before that, he can’t command his area, hopeless with crosses, he pulls off a decent (expected) save here and there so all is forgiven.

How many times would anyone have scored him 8/10 yet alone a 9 or mom

Agreed, he just doesn’t seem to be improving and he’s played a lot of games now so should be pretty experienced despite his age.

'do not forsake me o my darling ' yep it's high noon time next week, no 3 points and that's the end of the ever decreasing chance of auto's because for one of the top two to falter will need a bigger crash than wall street...then it's the graveyard of the play-offs and our record is abysmal just like the James miss, still one ray of hope we currently have Eminem in the squad so maybe the record will spin in our favour :emoticon-0184-tmi:

Just not good enough I said the same last season. A top goalie gets you autos and they are all but gone.

14 hour round trip for that ****e. Well done to the lads driving our rather dodgy mini-bus, which kept loosing power and came to a stop 5 or 6 times on the hard shoulder of the M25 and M1. On the plus side, enjoyed the South Stand. Thought Coventry were like Leeds away which made a good atmosphere. Shame about the 5 or 6 flares on the pitch and that they’d thought they’d won the league the way they were celebrating at the end and in the car park but we always say playing Leeds is like the other teams cup final. This is not because we are arrogant it’s just what we witness all the time.

I thought the ref was poor and I don’t like ref bashing generally because what it leads to sometimes. From what I remember of their goal we had 3 defenders around their player plus our keeper and still conceded. Will have to watch it back.

Hopefully can meet up with you all next time, think train needs to take the strain, next time.

I’ve not given up on top 2, but a huge crunch game against Ipswich. We have to beat them then they have two Leicester games quite close together.

The fear will be Leicester or Ipswich dropping out but Southampton taking the spot and not us. Would be Derby all over again, beat Ipswich home and away but they do us in the playoffs

Long way to go, let’s see where we are after Christmas and who sells and who buys what players
