Just got myself home after a wet and miserable day at Elland Road.
Had a quick read through and thought I'd just address a few things.
Taking Tanaka off was absolutely the right decision. He was on a yellow for a clumsy tackle in the middle of the park and then did a very similar tackle a bit later. Luckily the ball fell to a Villa player and the ref played advantage. The ref had a word with Tanaka as he ran past him a couple of minutes later. I'm guessing it was a final warning. The Villa bench and players were putting huge pressure on the officials to send him off at the time. He had then done a couple more sliding tackles that went his way. It was slippery, he was on his last warning and he was still flying in to tackles. He was fantastic but he was literally a walking red card at that point. I'd have taken him off earlier.
The whole fan base were singing Dan James name after 60 minutes and that turned in to "Make a sub, make a sub, make a sub" to the "here we go" tune. The fans in the ground are starting to turn so it will be curtains for Farke soon enough. You lot who want him out better hope that a new manager improves us because I have a little black book with names in it and I'll be handing out receipts.
