He’s paid to score goals and he is awful at that. He just needs to play by instinct and not think, he always wants an extra touch. All entitled to an opinion.
You are even if you’re wrong. His job is not just to score goals, It’s to hold up the ball and bring others into play and to make a nuisance of himself against two centre halves. Which he did on both counts an excellent job last night.
Given a very good performance by nearly all, it is disappointing to come away with nothing. We looked good last night though and maybe we can kick on now. We're not too far behind the play offs. I honestly believe if Grosicki had made an effort to impose himself on the game, we'd have won. For whatever reason he chose not to.
Eaves worked the defence hard, held up the ball or got flick ons pretty well last night. However, that alone doesn't make a good performance. A similar player who had an eye for goal and we would probably have won last night. Admittedly getting someone like that for free is always going to be a challenge.
Sorry George I disagree. Eaves will have done exactly what McCann asked of him last night. McCann said as much in his post match interview. But for a superb save by the Leeds keeper from an Eaves header, just before they scored the 2nd - it would probably have ended a draw.
He hasn't imposed himself for quite a few games recently. He needs dropping. Might give him a kick, might not, but needs doing.
Da Silva Eaves Lichaj We where as good as tws tonight, disappointed not to get something from this game. The signs did look good. Leeds always seem to get the run of play these days, hate to say it but that's the sign of a good team.
Eaves - terrific hold up play and unlucky with the header .. for me his best performance in a City shirt .. keeps playing like that the goals will come. Lopez - got himself round the park well and has a decent eye for a pass .. would love to see him playing with Toral definite defence openers them 2 Burke - certainly a big presence at the back for is and the way he threatens to come out of defence with the ball on occasions reminds me a bit of big Harry. Footnote - get a rocket up Grosicki's arse .. for a bloke to have so much quality in the locker its criminal to put in a performances like that .. only highlights it more with his cant be arsed attitude to track back or attempt a tackle or challenge .. absolute disgrace .. for large parts of the game we played with 10 because of him
