A great signing! Hopefully work permit should be a formality as an established international.

Shows great foresight by club looking to get into the lucrative asian market!

Great news. I thinks its exciting to have a player from such a different culture. Lets hope for some quality from Tadanari, and a good welcome from all Saints fans.

Hope there are no hitches.

Don't expect big things, he hasn't played in weeks. Next we need to sign a chinese or indian if we really want to embrace the asian market.

Don't want to be pessimistic, but he hasn't signed yet as there are still work permit issues that need to be ironed out. Hopefully he will sign in the end though.

As much as I want this deal to happen, it has not happened yet. He is only here for an "initial 10 day stay" where he will decide if likes us and we think he is right (medical etc) - then we have the work permit shenanigans although it's reported he should be ok as he has played the required 10 internationals in the last year.........fingers crossed.

The Asian market or nationality is sod all to do with why I'm pleased. If he comes, it's because NA and scouts think he's the one for us. The rest is just a side show.

Exactly i'm sceptical about how big an impact it will have any way, certainly wont be like man u signing park

although if Liebherr supply loads of cranes into the Japanese ports, we could have lots of Saints posters on them!
