I don't think that is the case at all. I think Bowyer wants a fair contract offer after all the good work he and his team have done this season.

I think Bowyer also wants guarantees about playing budgets next season, particularly with so many players now out of contract.

The quality loans, particularly Cullen and Bielik, are going to leave a huge gap.

Josh Parker came on for 10 mins yesterday and was comically bad - that is what cheap gets you at this level.

Steve Gallen has already said that they will have to be looking at the lower divisions. That can work if you are buying the outstanding players from L2, like Kinsella or Robinson, but the owner probably has in mind getting the cheap rejects like Parker.

Parker cannot jump, he cannot control a football and he cannot find a team mate from 3 yards. Released by the Gills for a reason...
