Argh. For me these election nights are like going to the pub. I always say I'll stay for one (stay up and see a couple of results) and then end up getting smashed (hooked by the results), stay up far too late and feel like crap the next day.
 
Prediction: even if the Leave side wins the referendum, the UK will not ultimately leave the EU.
 
Newcastle being as close as it was says to me the students didn't get out of bed because that was expected to be about 55% remain on my spreadsheet and 60% on the BBCs IF a 50/50 total result.
 
I was just thinking the same thing.

I thought London would easily save the remain camp before but now I am getting a bit enthused because the rest of England could give leave a good enough result to counter the London weighting.
