Had to check this, Man City did beat Hudds 10-1 in 1987/88 in the old Div 2:

However, I was conflating that result with two of Gillingham’s that season (easy mistake I know).

Gillingham beat Chesterfield 10-0 in 1987/88

But the Saturday before, they beat Southend 8-1 at home.

Someone won an £8k bet on this last night, they backed Kevin de Bruyne as first goalscorer and Man City to win 9-0.

I feel like people are not taking my big win seriously, I hear it's a Hull trait, getting jealous of successfull people.
