You are 6th in the premier league, the F A Cup holders and have just lost a cup final to one of the best teams in the world, and still in the Europa cup with a fair chance of winning it, get a flipping grip because there are 86 other professional teams that would love to be in that position.

True, but for a club like Arsenal with our resources we should be doing better than we are. The fans ambition for the club doesn't seem to be matched by what we're seeing at the moment, so naturally there is a lot of frustration.

Although the PL top 6 does more or less
finish ranked on financial power, money
alone does not guarantee where you finish.
Which is why Citeh have not won or been
runner-up in the PL every year since 2011
when their lottery money stream was open.

It gives you some margin for error, but those
    margins are getting increasingly fine.
Six into four does not go, so if you cannot
outspend them, then you have to out
    coach/manage them.

Yep it's not just money. We seem to lack ideas and confidence from the top down in our club atm. We are rudderless and do not seem to know how to turn it around.

A new manager with a longer term vision
for the way the team should play, backed
by the board. The last thing you want now
is manager churn during the post-Wenger era.

We are sliding backwards, it’s not the falling that will get you, it’s the failure to self-arrest the fall that will ultimately kill you. This is why we are angry, we see the club sliding toward mid table and doing nothing about it. As for the other 86 clubs, do they charge as much as arsenal for tickets? Do they make as much money as Arsenal? Do they have as much worldwide support as arsenal? Every club has their own goals/targets; when we see us falling so far short of ours, that’s when we show our unhappiness and anger.

The club should be planning his successor now, we've started to make some changes to the recruitment and scouting side of things, I'm hoping that these are the building blocks for a new era at Arsenal. Getting it right first time when we appoint a new manager is not going to be easy, but we cannot get caught up in a succession of hiring and firing like Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Utd and even City have done and I do not want to see us giving a young inexperienced manager 'a chance'. I want to see us go all out to get somebody like Simeone or Allegri, somebody with champions league experience and somebody who knows how to win trophies.

Moronic argument that can be used to try and make out that EVERY fan of EVERY club should be happy because some other team is worse than them.

If we got relegated to Championship there would still be thousands of teams in Britain who'd love to be in our position in the championship. So we'd still have to get a grip then yeh?

What about if we got relegated two years in a row? Still thousands of clubs in Britain who'd love to be in league 1 so we'd still have to get a grip?

Relegated four years in a row? We should still get a grip because there are still thousands of clubs who'd love to be that close to professional football.

    IDIOT.

If that happened then you would see the real arsenal fans turning up to watch you, instead of 70% at the of the whingers I hear on radio stations.
    Why the name calling?

Yeah its funny because I used to want to see Arsenal continue down the 'attacking football' route but now I no longer care.

If it was up to me at this point in time I would probably pick Diego Simeone as my choice for next manager. Mainly because I just want to see an Arsenal team with some fight and backbone.

Pre - Wenger Arsenal was always a team that was hard to beat, tough defended well... everything we are not at the moment.

Yeah we're soft as **** at the moment and have been for a few years. No backbone and no leaders, so when it goes tits up, there is nobody to turn things around. The manager clearly can't motivate or inspire his players anymore and as I said earlier, it just seems like he gives them some instructions and then leaves them to get on with it. If it doesn't work, then nobody is doing anything to intervene to change things as nobody seems to have any idea how to change things.

We need a complete overhaul at the club from the top down. The board have been happy to coast along getting 4th and the odd cup and now they don't even have that anymore. Wenger still thinks he's got what it takes but all the evidence points otherwise. I'd like to see somebody like Simeone, who would instil a proper work ethic and strong emphasis on making sure we defend.

Half hearted I thought arsenal were today.
Wilshire looked up for it but he was very much on his own.
For any other manager it should be the tipping point but not sure with Wenger,he’s survived before when you think he’s a goner

Wilshere was the only player out there who looked like he cared today. Aubameyang got **** all service so you can't really call him out, although he did fluff his lines when he had that early chance. As for the rest of them, utter shambles. They should be ****ing ashamed of themselves.

Wilshere has on many occasions this Season looked like the only player who gives a ****.

You get insults when you make ignorant, sweeping statements about fans. And you've just made another one. So, for another one of yours, here's another insult. IDIOT.

The real fans are the ones who don't moan? Christ.

And what has turning up to game in league 2 got to do with anything being discussed?

He'll be leaving you where he found you 22 years ago...with the momories of 3 league titles, 7 FA Cups, an unbeaten season, a CL final, 3 or 4 league cup finals and 2 or 3 FA Cup finals, 21 years of CL football and a much better and bigger ground.
The idea that he has damaged your club is OTT in my opinion...he has failed to keep up with his earlier achievements but has still won 3 trophies in the past 5 seasons including this and you are still in the EL.
He is tainting and damaging his legacy but he ain't damaged Arsenal.

Cool. In that case quote the post where I bring up anything about fans going to lower league games. And then, again, explain why that's relevant to anything mentioned on this thread anyway.
