Bloody hell you have just come up from the championship and its all about survival not winning the title. I don't know what you expect in your first season jk200 but from what i can see then you are doing better than expected. I think you are expecting too much and it wont happen as your not one of the big clubs to have ever come up and you are doing better than expected...
I am not complaining at our present position, if you saw the first half against Liverpool it was simple to see we can never win games like that. Compare the second half when we actually looked like we could win. Now if you were a Cardiff fan which way would you want the team to play? If your team played with the set up we had in the first half would you sit and say nothing? If we finish 4th bottom along with every other fan I will be applauding the team and the manager. We can play attacking football we do not need to sit back and let teams do all the attacking. jck
I hope Malky stays but more than that he understands we cannot sit back and let teams come on to us. Malky was on sky just now saying he never spoke to Tan before of after the match as that was not a normal thing that happened...well these are not normal times and surely he could have spoken to Tan and resolved this situation? This is a dangerous game Malky is playing, it is very easy to lose 3/4 games on the trot and then Tan will be justified in replacing him. At Chelsea we had a manager getting sacked for finishing second the season after he won the title and another getting sacked after winning the champions league. Usually when a manager is sacked it comes as a news flash from sky out of the blue as with AVB and Harry Rednapp. This just not feel like we are getting the full story. What has really go on behind the scenes between them that they no longer speak? How can you go to the media saying you want 2/3 players in January when you are not ever speaking to the owner? jck
It would have been bonkers to sack him, no manager would have that dressing room behind them and no chance of bedding in new blood well enough - it would have been curtains
...but will Malky get any money off Tan to spend in January? If he's backtracked on sacking Malky, he needs to give him the tools to do the job, not just sit back and say you've already had enough.
I can see a few players going out and that will be used as a smoke screen for more money being available, Tan will want to protect his investment.
A lot of owners would ignore what fans wanted so is there anyone who thinks Tan has not acted in the clubs best interest over this? jck
If Tan wanted to make money he could have made £140 million simply by not investing in Cardiff. A billionaire has over 1000 million at his disposal and more coming in each second. There is no chance of Tan getting his money back, not from the club directly anyway. There is a way and that is how Man Utd made a killing which would not affect the club at all. Shares were floated in America and Asia these were non voting shares and had no value as regards to dividends it just allowed the buyers to say they had shares in Man Utd. If Tan can do the same good luck to him. There is a plus here, as another gesture to the fans Tan will bring in players in January because he wants to show he really wants to be part of the club and not treated as an outsider. This is very strange for him as back in Malaysia things are done differently but this shows he does take this into consideration. This is the first time I have ever seen an owner not sack a manager in this situation. jck
