I went through the cancel subscription process to see what happened and I got 2 years for 1 annual fee.
So I did the same with Norton and same result.

May work.
It's free money for software companies
I wanted to go one company over my payroll subscription and the nice lady gave me an extra company for free

Thanks everyone for the advice. That’s really cleared things up :emoticon-0101-sadsm
Just noticed a groupon offer on Office 2021 for £39 quid. No subs, which has made my mind up. Gonna bin 365.
Also gonna bin McAfee and rely on Windows Defender + malware bytes.
I just need to think about what to do about storage.
Search around. I

Have a good search round. I got the entire Office 21 suite for about £21 a couple of months ago.

I know you said "not after any advice", but couldn't resist!

Sounds to me like you've made a sensible choice sticking with MS365, but surely paying the annual option gives better value? £15 per MONTH sounds hell of a lot. I only pay £55 per year for a Family level subscription giving 1TB for each of us (way more than we actually need), but that is on a 'Home User Plan' that we got through work before I packed in, but it continues still. Should only be something between £60 and £80 per year ..... or do you need to have a Business version? Even then, I'm surprised it costs anything like £15 per month, and doesn't the 'Home User' plans give you all you actually need anyway (as they include all the main apps etc).

Re. printing. I have an old Canon ink jet printer which keeps going. I have a few cartridges left, which I've picked up when the likes of Tesco or Wilko's have offers on for their own brand inks (work absolutely fine). However, when it finally goes, or when I've used up the cartridges, I'll likely get one of these newish Ink Tank printers - a higher up front cost but then the ongoing ink cost is literally next to nothing (pennies). Computer Active have this one as their 'best buy' currently ... https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9509485
I’ve dug a bit deeper and it’s all a bit mysterious. I actually am paying twice! I bought a one year subscription for £59 in January. And yet started paying £15 per month for another subscription started in February. I chatted with a Microsoft agent who could only see on her screen me paying the one off £59, despite me looking at my microsoft account showing both subscriptions!
She apparently can’t see business accounts, so I have to wait until they open on Monday.
There’s no way I signed up for the £15 pm. Apart from the obvious, why would I need two? I do recall now starting this thread and considering alternatives because of the £15 pm, which I (rightly) thought was ridiculously priced. Around the one off £59 mark, which I later found and bought, I wouldn’t have felt sufficiently irked to consider alternatives.
