Got to be honest, I would love Pearson as our manager but I do actually quite like Pemberton and very importantly, he clearly has the entire squad fully behind him which is a huge plus in our situation. I don't know if he will make a good manager or not but currently he has a 50% LEAGUE win record right now and we really, REALLY should have taken at least a point from Leeds. The Leeds post match interview from JP started off like SC's used to in that we should have won that game (which is not unrealistic) however what I did like was the way he ended it by basically saying that it is no use sitting about and mopping we just need to roll our sleeves up and get on with it which was very refreshing as you got the feeling tht SC as still brooding about a Saturday loss, the following Tuesday.... I absolutely don't think this is a Millen situation whatsoever. Millen may have been a committed City man but he was absolutely not a good communicator, I used to watch from behind the sofa when I saw his TV interviews, they were proper cringeworthy. Likewise, when standing under the open dressing room window at half time one match when we were losing at home, I cringed when I heard him threaten a young player that "if you ****ing do that again, I am ****ing coming for you", which I did not think was particularly good coaching. How things will turn out if JP is appointed nobody knows but if that does happen, I do feel that he has something about him and he does appear to know his tactical onions so with the right help (loanees) we may not be quite as screwed as everyone thinks...
'How things will turn out if JP is appointed' Who knows, I hope for the best. However I believe City need a different face and voice (other than Stuart Pearce) in the changing room. I worry it's all to comfortable for the players. Interesting to see how Tomlin performs, have I got the right player - always seemed overweight to me.
