So were Luton and they made it to the PL, and Coventry who made the play-offs, we came 15th.....Time to leave the finance argument alone. NP had 'credentials' of working on a tight budget and doing well. If we call a spade a spade, he didn't do that for us. Time to move on and get behind the new manager now.
Of course we’ll get behind the team, and the new manager, but I’m not sure the Lansdown’s or surprisingly BT will be forgiven so easily.

errrrrr

I will let you work that one out

How many trophies has Claudio Ranieri won?

Ranieri has won eight trophies throughout his managerial career so far, including the 2004/05 UEFA Super Cup with Valencia.
I think he should have been given at least this season to play out his team but I did have a concern if his tactics would give us enough to get where we wanted to be..
Ranieri imo was an average manager but transformed Nige’s squad..

League One club ‘set sights’ on Bristol City manager favourite
Bristol City’s search for a head coach has now seen a League One club reportedly consider him as their next manager should they pull the plug on their current one.

Derby County have 'set sights' on Bristol City head coach favourite John Eustace, according to reports.

Football Insider is reporting that Eustace is being targeted by the Rams amid doubts over Paul Warne's future. Derby won 4-0 against Northampton Town on Tuesday night, but has come under pressure recently with fan backlash at a recent away match.

It is reported that Warne's 'long-term future is up in the air' and that potential alternatives are being assessed. Eustace, sacked by Birmingham City last month is 'on the club's radar' and that makes for an interesting development in the Robins’ search for a head coach.

Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett said on Sunday that Eustace, along with Gary Rowett and Nathan Jones were their three leading candidates for the role. Club chairman Jon Lansdown confirmed in an interview published on Tuesday that City had a shortlist in mind however that news had only just got out there which could lead to other managers applying.

As for Eustace, it was reported by both Richard Cawley, a journalist for the South London Presss, and Sunday Mirror Sports editor Darren Witcoop that Eustace was 'set to take over' as Bristol City boss.

Bristol Post's reporter James Piercy however played down the reports and said they were 'premature' and even at an 'unlikely' stage. Eustace is the bookies favourite for the post at the moment, but according to the Bristol Post, it’s too early to say right now, and it is ‘increasingly unlikely’ that he is on the club’s shortlist.

At least if he joins Derby County he will have support backed by much larger crowds to financially build the next generation but if he were to come to BS3 we all know the pitfalls facing him. Derby County or Bristol City is a no brainer to anyone with ambition because any Lansdown will destroy personal dreams by telling porkies and treating managers like flying pigs. A warning to all managers and players who want to progress in their individual careers would be to avoid anything to do with Bristol City. Ouch ouch.

If he’s got any sense he’ll join Derby
More egg on the smug faces of Lansdowm Senior and Junior

Both decent managers and players usually give Ashton Gate a wide berth, and can you blame them? Nigel was a rare diamond for us and he seemingly was treated like a some kind of know nothing idiot who would nod yes at the merest indication until he realized the situational pit staring him in the face. Whether or not he knew that his replacement was already on the simmer setting will probably remain unknown but I think he knew his goose was cooked quite some time ago and after thinking his situation over again he decided to fall on Lansdown's sword cursing all the way to the bank I hope. Thanks Nigel, but the ghouls from the dark halls of Bristol City strike again, but good luck to you in both your health and career and please return to Ashton Gate soon with some other forward thinking team, that actually has some desire, and beat the crap out of us just for the hell of seeing the Lansdown's get laughed out of the place. A real shame to see you go.

Clearly did not have someone lined up otherwise he would be in place by now.Or who they had lined up probably turned it down after speaking with Nige. Farcical comes to mind the first manager in all my years following Bristol City that had the credentials for the job.
Then the two clowns remove him from a job we could all see was bearing fruit.

Perhaps we should hire Albert Ingraham to get the job done as I've heard a lot of stuff about AI ruling the world. At least we could be the first to employ something without a real brain to get us there, forgetting about some of our previous managers.
