Our exchange was at speed, check the timings of the posts and you'll see that I responded to you in the same minute or a minute later.....also I could see that you were still "viewing" the thread.
Which makes it suspicious that you logged out at the moment you were asked an awkward question and didn't come back.
Hence my use of the term "f**king off".
I accept that your version of events is possible but feel it is far more likely that when faced with your own hypocrisy you bolted.
What hypocrisy you say?
If you feel like this why do you tolerate this behaviour on the forum you moderate.
For example on Mikraswan's thread re: Cornelius the other day.
It was a perfectly reasonable thread, football banter most would call it....having a laugh at another club for over paying for your star young player then giving him back to you within 6 months....leaving you where you started but with at least £4m + in the bank is something most football fans can empathise having a laugh about.
Yet, barring a couple who took the ribbing on the chin, the vast majority were aggressive and unfriendly.
Then Aber wades in with a post that addresses Mikra as "**** breath", you do nothing, Mikra responds in kind, Aber calls for Mikra to be banned (something which is against your own rules...read them sometime) and you clean up after Aber again...admit it, you saw Mikra as the problem...might have even stated as much....and treated Aber like he is still in nappies.
Don't you think he's responsible for his own actions?
Then this to Swanselona (who was pointing out your hypocrisy);
"There was a concerted effort at one time from resident(s) of your forum to get him tucked away with a site ban by bombgarding the supermods with lengthy complaining PMs.
Won't go into it now, but brb and Minxy could see through it all with a little help from the Cardiff mods and the plot failed."
As you are taking the Arsene Wenger defence (not buying that you didn't see it....it was left up on your board for something like 4 days) I will inform you of what Aber wrote approx. 18 months ago, and the context.
I wrote a thread taking the piss out of Cardiff because of the change of colour.
Do you agree that this is reasonable football banter?
Might you or one of your fellow posters have written similar threads if we sold out to a bloke who says effectively; "I bailed you out of the **** now I'm going to change your colours and your badge whether the majority of you are against it or not....or I'll take my money and leave you in the ****"?
Might some of you had some fun with that?
The response I got was predictable...lots of posters giving me **** me giving it back, all good fun...then Aber starts to cross the line.
- First he uses excessive violent language - nothing is done about it
- Next he starts insisting on a meet (lots of references to his previous life of football violence thrown in) - nothing is done about it (at this point I am still keeping my humour inviting him to meet me at a notorious gay bar
- then he sends me pm's explaining exactly what he wants to do to me etc.
- finally he claims he has a techie mate who can help him track me down
He goes further and states when he turns up at my house he is going to "f**k" my kids in front of me.
I didn't respond. I waited to see what would be done about it.
NO Cardiff poster told Aber he was out of order except Clingo.
NO mod at any time warned him
The posts were left up there for 3/4 days. They were only removed after I complained to our mod Scottswan.
In the picture now Sparkey?
Aber continues to be tolerated. As does the behaviour of a few other unsavoury types on your board.
Please desist from coming over here and getting on your high horse.
If I were you I would find out exactly what you are talking about before riding to the rescue of the likes of Aber. (He never apologised to me for the filth he wrote, I wouldn't accept it anyway, he has subsequently changed his tune to "wish I'd said I would have raped his wife instead".
The defence "he is sometimes his own worse enemy and goes over the top" could have been applicable to the likes of Jeffrey Dahmer, the Yorkshire Ripper etc.
It is not a defence.
If I wanted to I could take this matter much further and get the Police involved but have opted to give you and the supermods a lesson in what is acceptable on a public forum.
As long as he remains I will bring this up every time I see the likes of you getting your knickers in a twist about a word like "scum".

.....being one of the recipients of that sort of ****, I probably would applaud that, but it's says more about the poster than the target.
Same sort of language as Bovi - same school, same forum crap. Makes you wonder if the gang lives on.

Terrror - very eloquently put and you've shown great restraint There should be ZERO tolerance to such abuse.
As for the rest of the thread... well I guess that's sort of down to me for kicking that off (sorry Valley!) and the conclusion I've come to is that there's too much bad history (I was unaware of) between certain posters of both boards and it looks like that antagonism won't be going away any time soon. So I won't be investing any more oars and am oot.

The fact that my laptop was open as it usually is and probably on that thread as it had been for most of the day doesn't mean I was actually viewing. I do have food on occasions and a family to talk to. Most evenings I walk over to my desk and close the lid down without even looking at the screen - if you look at my history you'll find I never post after about 8pm any evening. Neither have I "conveniently forgotten" anything.
I never have and never will condone any threats of violence from posters for whom I'm responsible along with the other Cardiff mods on any board. Some of the stuff poured out in the past has been diabolical, but I've not been in a position to do anything about it. Have I got this right - are you saying these quotes from aber you're mentioning was 18 months ago? I'd have thought you'd have got over it by now and moved on.
As far as the recent stuff you quote on that Mikra thread on our board - for Christ's sake, you need to take a raincheck on all this. You're coming across all offended and playing the victim card over something that is far from the worst experienced on here. You're displaying the hatred you feel for aber and that's something you'll have to live with if you continue on this forum - unless of course you bypass your own mods and PM brb to try to get him banned again.
I don't want to squabble unecessarily with you, and there is no "high horse" attitude from me on this thread over the use of immotive terms between rivals posters. I'm simply pointing out that a lot of it is unnecessary and breeds animosity. That applies to both clubs and for your information, there are posters from my club who have already been advised to cut it out.

If I were you sparky I'd want to drop it too , much like you want terrorwit to drop his kids safety . Your a mistake for a mod sparky , but weve made mistakes for mods in the past too.
I really don't know Stereo, but it looks like our Canadian friend want an argument rather than end it.
