I think sharing the sound bites with Rogers and Reed at least shows a united front through a consistent message. I'm less concerned by Ralph than some. He is clearly a very genuine guy and particularly talented in leadership. That his American ( sorry, Canadian) dialogue grates a bit with some should be of no surprise really. I'll not judge him since he is to Katherine what Cortese was to Markus.

Actually I'll qualify that. Katherine appears to be ensuring that never again will the power of the club be vested so strongly in one person.. It's much more of a team at the top now.

At the end of the season on Radio Solent you said be more excited about the players coming in than being upset about the ones leaving. Well then Mr Kruger lets hope you are right. With Koeman installed as Manager the board have made a very good start and with the players that have gone I still feel optimistic. I will not be upset if we do not have such a good season as we did last season because the new team will have to gel so may need to take a few steps back to go forward. Looking forward to the new season COYR.

Ummm........

Let's be honest, Ralph was spouting off complete dribble in all his interviews. Some of the things he was coming out with were cringe worthy.

What Krueger knows about football, I know about Particle Physics. For all we know he could selling Shaw, Lallana, Lovren, Schneiderlin and Lambert and bringing in Peter Odemwingie, Emile Heskey and Titus Bramble is good business.

If you honestly think we will bring in replacements that are anywhere near as good as the lads that leave, then I admire your optimism. There is no way we will be able to attract that many quality players, that all work out 100%. Our transfers in are 50/50 hit or miss as it is.

We couldn't convince a player like Shaw is now to join us, but no reason we couldn't attract a player and make them better...as we did with Rickie.

we couldn't have convinced a player like shaw is now to join us at any time since our administration (or indeed since lawrie). let's not kid ourselves.

by the same token liverpool could not hope to sign a player like luis suarez.

we need to get a similar player without potential to improve or take a risk again.

edit: my undiagnosed dyslexia is in full swing today read that as "to join us now".

My optimism is based on the fact that Koeman came here. He surely wouldn't touch us with a barge pole if that was the case. Some of the players we get may not be as good as the ones that left but you could have a team full of the best players in the world but it doesn't garantee they can play as a team. I maybe clutching at straws but at this momment in time I will gladly take it.

Sorry mate this was more about what he said than the guy himself. The mods could change the title if that helps.
