if these two are to be bought in order to bolster a wafer thin squad then I'm happy. If they are here to play the majority of our league games then I feel somewhat deflated.

I'm not saying they're bad, I'm just saying they're not great. If these are our priority it looks like plan B and it's gannin to cock.
Donald Love and Billy Jones as our right backs. It's as bad as it sounds <laugh>

I'm not writing anybody off because Moyes has a knack of pulling players like these, players from the championship and even Coleman over in Ireland, and turning them into very decent players indeed.

I just hope these fanzines and our supporters hold fire until the transfer window closes...

I am glad Kone is staying with us now as Everton have signed Ashley williams (who is a bargain at £12m), great news I like Kone very much, big strong defender, like Kaboul. Come on Ellis we want to keep our best players, now go out and bankroll Bony's deal please. Sammy nasri would be brilliant as well !
Ohhh my god come of it

The Fanzines blew their top this morning fella. Twitter is currently going nuts slating the club and Short. Can't get that angry. I've been wise to Short for a long time but the penny is dropping and the fans have not reacted well to this news. Oh Twitter is in meltdown. <laugh>

I have to defend Bob here. Murray genuinely didn't have have the anywhere near the money to bank roll a Premier League Club. He was just a small time local millionaire, probably with Lottery winners bagging bigger fortunes than he had. Miles apart from cash Short has. Add to the he genuinely loved the club and left us with a Stadium and Facilities we own outright. Bob did a cracking job imo. Left us something to build on. Now we just need someone to build on it.
Fair comment Bri and yes he left us a decent legacy but I remember when under Reidy's team we needed 2/3 players to push on and he wouldnt bankroll it.

I've seen it coming mate, creeping in season on season. Every season he has manager changes to blame. At least Ashley had them running in the black. I know they've had two relegations but there's no way either of those squads should have gone down. We've stayed up with worse that's for sure. We're so lucky not to riddled in debt and playing in the Championship by now. Some kind of mysterious force keeps turning up in February and turns relegation form into top 6 form for the rest of the season and the players become superhuman<laugh>

It no wonder so many non Sunderland football fans want us relegated. I was exactly the same with Wigan.
