I agree with you billy, I am deleting that post. Sorry Badger, I understand what you are saying but we can't have medical opinions about other members posted on the forum.

Dunno, Tintin called me "borderline ******ed".

Oh, hang on, he was right.

Vin

What I don't understand is that he is a Saints fan. We are doing well. He doesn't post. I don't get that???

He has some very good views on football and often expresses a good understanding of the game, so it is a shame he felt he had to disappear. I think he struggles in two way communication. He just seems to have an inability to hold a debate without abusing someone in some manner, or to even believe there are any shades between black and white. Statistically I can prove that without lying. :)

We've had a few members who you wouldn't see hide nor hair of, if Saints were winning. They often turned out to lack respect for other posters' opinions, and disappeared once Saints strung a few victories together.

I've found that posters who generally lose their cool lack patience because they are not exercised in understanding another point of view, and because their view is the only one they are really interested in. The main point of their posting is to get their opinion across and that's it.

Thankfully, most posters know that a forum is about an exchange of views, some wildly different, some marginally. They also know when to reply and when not to.

But we all have our moments! :)

My apologies. Didn't mean to offend, but was trying to indicate that some posters can't help how they respond.
Apologies again.

Thanks for the bump Vin, I was wondering whether someone would find this. A fascinating read as you say!

I am not voting anonymously, I'll be voting keep him.

I hate smug posters, but I'm standing that one up :)

Reading through this thread, it is also clear that I rescued Saints' season by taking over the match threads. Thereisonlyoneno7 has done a great job carrying on the mantle, but it was my foundations this Europa league qualification has been built on.

No, no need to thank me

Dear Ron, please note that you had 78% approval from Saints fans even at a low point in the season, you wouldn't get that at any other club...Now please sign..SA

Good point SA. When I looked at the poll results again the first thought I had was how fragmented the non-supporting Koeman vote was. But really I should have been concentrating on 78%+, which is pretty damn good percentage [honestly Beddy, it is ;)] for a bad period of results.

Glad I voted undecided and Koeman went on to prove how good he is.

<laugh> knew someone would dredge this thread up. Had to be done I suppose, but if we're doing smug, howsabout we all just laugh at Tottenham?

I might make a dig or two here and there, but I try not to laugh openly at teams that ultimately do better than us. Whatever the demerits of Spurs season, they finished 3rd, not 5th/6th. If you delve into the finer points of their 3rd place being a poor end to their season, for a club of their size, then you just highlight their status, while we're ecstatic with 5th/6th. I want Saints to get to the stage where we're disappointed with 3rd.

oh go on then <laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>

I have two sisters and therefore providing me with two brothers in law on that side... one is a Gooner and the other is a (prior to this Sunday) vocal purveyor of all good things Spuds..... I don't think brother in law number one has stopped laughing yet!!!

Of course, I still stand by this rather rash statement.

Too right. He can stay.

Interesting to see as many as 21.7% of the votes were not for 'keep him', suggesting that people had either lost faith or were losing faith.

For some reason, I imagined that number to be lower. Oh well, it all worked out nicely in the end. :)

Come on now let us move on from this kind of petulant vindictiveness. We should forgive and forget and just focus on how well Saints have done.

Good old MoPo has done well since he dropped us in the **** and we should admire his achievements. Plenty of money in the bank and living in London what more could the guy want?

A poke in the eye?
