He's been injured so that's why he sat out the last few games. Most of the dressing room is rumoured to be sticking up for KLP, I wouldn't have thought Grant would drop all of them. I'd wager McCann sympathises with the situation if anything, but he can't control players signing contracts. What he can control is playing the lad, which is what he should be doing.

In fact, he should ignore the Allams completely and change his formation. What's he got to lose?
Key word being 'rumoured'.

so danny grant opted for huddersfield. he had said he didn't want to join a club that already had enough wingers to populate harrod's january sales, and that may have been enough to put us out of the running, but if he's seen any of the klp saga, he can't be blamed for running full pelt in the opposite direction. on top of that, huddersfield is 80 miles nearer to his mother's cooking, and that may have been an understandable factor.

Not to mention higher league and will be paying him more

Wasn't he also another of those that GM said 'could play anywhere across the front 3'. This increasingly seems like a euphemism for ' can't beat his man on the outside and swing in a decent cross from the byline'. That's what I'd really like to see in any winger we sign - long time since we had one of those. I'm not expecting us to buy one, mind you.

Seeing his comments about the coaching being the main reason he joined Udders, seem a bit of a sideways hint that he does rate McCann.

I should think most of your problems are caused by either the government or the parents

Actually, the parents of these children have been really, really great this year. We've managed to Apollo 13 this cohort through what can only be described as hell on Earth. But we couldn't have done it without the parents, it's a team effort.

Well he's hardly going to say " well the set up here is a little poor, but you know they offered me the most money so that's why I signed "

Huddersfield do have a much better set up then us, much better training facilities, better sports science, more coaches, more specific coaching roles, better medical etc etc etc. As much as some on here like to link everything back to our gaffer or owners, I doubt very much that it was any kind of dig or comment towards grant or hull city.

They're still getting plenty of PL money, we're just 2 years ahead of them...

I just found it strange he highlighted the reason he joined them because of the coaching. Why only mention that, when he could have said I was offered a better deal.

I wasn't suggesting that was the only reason he joined them, obviously, he got a better deal but just felt it odd that he highlighted that. I'm sure it wasn't a purposeful remark against McCann, but he obviously thinks the coaching there is better than with City, and he is probably right.

Liverpool coach Gary O'Neill on Sky Sports...

“It’ll be disappointing for them and for the boy himself. He’s 19-years-old and he wants to be playing football”

“I’m surprised that the club are letting it effect team selection.

“These contract negotiations, they can get complicated and it can take a while, it can be drawn out and you don’t always agree on stuff, but normally you manage to stay in the team and you get this stuff sorted off the pitch.

“I’m very surprised it’s affected Grant McCann’s team selection.”
