My comment had nout to do with klopp or LFC, my point was if you're doing an average you normally ignore the huge anomoly like tobes has done which gerrez questioned.

Tobes didn't do it, he qouted it.

I didn't question it, I "questioned" (aka; ripped to shreds) the so called stat

Yeah but only if you're doing statistics for the purpose of lying, otherwise you'd laugh at the idea of "an average" and instead look at the mean, median, mode, standard deviation, histogram distributions etc.

No sorry but you don't.

This is quite simply a question of determining cause of variation. Clearly out of 20 points of data (more than enough to Plot a trend) if you did a mean and range chart as control charts wingers career is a clear outlier and what's called a special cause of variation and would be removed from any analysis to determine the actual mean and limits of the final chart.

Simple

Remove that data point and then use the other managers to predict future performance of managers in contract length.

Why, in your analysis, is Wenger such a special case he needs to be excluded but you're happy to still include the 3-5 teams that are relegation candidates and have a significantly higher manager turnover than all other clubs?

Why, who was your last manager to see his contract out?
If you tell me they were all sacked I will tell you the longer the contract, the more expensive that is to do.

Roy Evans who left in 1998 (ish)

PS...he didn't see the contract out but nor was he sacked

Tony Barrett.

Love Klopp but not sure about giving him all that power, only because he never had that much control at Mainz or Dortmund.

Still would like us to bring in a new DOF to work alongside him.
