If Bruce goes couldn't we get one of our own to take over? By that I mean someone off this forum. We could then get back to 3 5 2, drop Odubajo and Robertson (we haven't any full backs). Oh and Clucas needs dropping too. He's clueless. Hernandez is a striker's arsehole. Meyler? Please no!
How did this thread move to gay nightlife and high property prices in London? Are you lot suggesting Steve Bruce likes musicals and hasn't got the money for a house in London?
The Sun think they want Pearson, or Lambert... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...t-for-Championship-rivals-Fulham-and-QPR.html
“It is now time to take Fulham to the higher level of success we expect from our manager and players — success our supporters deserve.” This is the comment of a deluded club. They will carry on changing their manager every year.
I lived in one of these four storey terraced houses north of Mansfield Road. On the south side of the road there was the longest block of council flats in Europe at the time. Lynsey de Paul lived in an area called Oak Village to the east of the council flats. The houses looked like small cottages but they extended a long way back and had four bedrooms. I read that when she moved to Hornsey the house was described as a "mansion". Later when I'd moved to south London I had an estate agent client who's office was in The Tonsleys - which is a small pricey area around Wandsworth Town. She specialised in that area and was very knowledgeable. This was about 20 years ago and £400k was the average price for that area. A relatively scruffy guy walked into her showroom and said he was wanting to buy a house in the area. She asked him if he had finance for a purchase so he took out a bank statement with a balance of over £500,000! The Tonsley's had houses which were very pricey and desirable but you could buy homes a few yards away for half the price.
Both Fulham and QPR want Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, the current Burton Albion manager, to replace their recent outgoing managers. (The Times)
David Moyes will be sacked today, I suspect it could be him if it happens . Rumours are that Gary Monk is also on the verge of being pushed .
Like many living in Hornsey she probably referred to living in Heegate. Knew somebody living in Severnake Road which is close to Mansfield Road. In 1973 you'll have missed the free Camden Festival concerts on Parliament Hill from 1968-72.Popped in a pub on occasions in Pond Street opposite the Royal Free. Went to the cinema on South End Green a few times. Doubt it's there now.
We used to go to the 11 pm shows on Friday night quite often. We also would get up early and stand on Parliament Hill at 8 am Sunday which was quite a tradition.
Lived just off Crouch Hill, so mainly went in the Kings Head, there was a really good comedy club in the basement in the early 80's.
Matt Dean @mattdeanradio #hcafc say they've not heard from Fulham despite Steve Bruce being an early favourite for the vacant manager's job at Craven Cottage.
Crouch End is a good area but like most of North London you don't have to go far to get to less nice areas such as Archway.
