Happy days now we can push on and lose the other two cretins.

Let hope he opens his big mouth to the press on what is going on behind the scenes.

Part of my me thinks this has been planned

Good a spring in my step in this morning and it's got nothing to do with the fact that I put in a half decent performance with the missus last night <laugh>

Glad he's gone. If Llambias came back I'd have no problem. He's a tough negotiator but knows the club needs to make signings to progress. Maybe Ashley accepts that he made a mistake not only with Kinnear but regarding Pardew. It was well documented that he was unhappy with Pardew's performance last season but as Llabias appointed Sir Alan it was him that went instead.

Now with Pardew performing well and Kinnear not performing at all maybe he's realised the original set up was infact ok. Never thought I'd say this last season but I'm happy with Pardew as our gaffer, he's doing a good job this year and I think he'll be here for a few year yet which although doesn't fill me with excitement it also doesn't bother me. I think he'll continue to hit the targets he's set.

Also if he's said "it's Joe or Me" to Mike and Kinnear going is the end result of that then it also gives Pardew a little bit of power. We'll have to see how things pan out regarding a replacement etc before making a decision on if the club is finally taking, tiny little steps forward.

Kinnear leaving is just taking the heat off Ashley.
I will only be happy when Ashley is also out of the club.

Canny job he had, a whole years salary for doing f..k all bar sell Yohan. I too think he's gone due to his inability to sell Cisse but lets not count our chickens yet as God knows what's up Ashley's sleeve.

The fact that he was given a job there again, shows that something is wrong behind the scenes

The most useful thing he has done in the last 8 months.

Although I am not sure it is possible to resign from something you didn't actually do in the first place.

It's like me announcing that I had resigned from my post as the Prime Minister.

He must have fulfilled his reasons for being here - to take the flak for the planned sale of Cabaye and intentional lack of signings over both of this seasons transfer windows.

Seriously though, Mark Douglas was sure that funds had been made available in the summer but that Kinnear's ineptitude was the sole reason for us failing to make any signings. It may be that his second epic failure this January made MA see that he needed shot. You never know.

Oh, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Llambias saunters back into the building.

Ok, so this throws up a few questions for me; did he resign, or was he told to resign? If he resigned, then why? It could only be that he wasn't 'backed'. Reputable journalists claim that there has been money to be spent. Strong rumours and allegations have previously insinuated that he was to blame for many of our failed transfer dealings. In my mind, he hasn't resigned off his own back, so he was pushed.

Shearer still blaming the Owner, mind.

It would be good to have a group led by Shearer take over things.

Get a bit of passion and pride back in the club.

Agree. I don't think Joe has the integrity to 'walk' based on the role or club management not suiting his morals or personal views on how to run things - at least not without publicly shouting about it first, to demonstrate why he's right and the club is wrong. So to me, this smacks of him being given the opportunity to resign, to avoid being sacked. Either way, he was out.

Shearer and Mike will never see eye to eye and big Al will always take opportunities to have a dig at Ashley's management of the club.

Frankly, no. Shearer was a good player and great on the pitch.

I have seen nothing since his playing days that would make me want him having a non-playing role at the club. He's doing a good job at the moment as Club Legend and that's what he's good at.

You have no chance fella. I've already been invited to interview where I am going to tell Mike he can make loadsamoney by selling Chick Totty, Bin Afro, Paper Scissors, Fab Colour Chinos, Sissy Yoko, Jim Cruel, Gabby All-over-tan, Daffy Deeboosheee and Show me I'm a donkey. Sorted!

That's always a good tactic if the game's gone a bit flat with the one up front struggling to perform. I normally introduce one to play in the hole and then bring on an energetic box to box player if that meets with resistance.
