So,are these train tickets non-refundable as they're booked at short notice? It's asking a lot of people to take this leap of faith given it's all still hanging in the balance...But damned if you do,damned if you don't!!!
I had booked a one way flight from Glasgow to Luton and fortunately it's only £48.99,so I'm not in too deep(though it's essentially non refundable because it's £49 to amend).I had a look at a return flight last night and it's £85 but same scenario...non refundable and would involve a Hotel booking.
I've ended up booking a seat on a national express coach from London Victoria to Glasgow(8 hr's 40 minutes journey time) and it was £75 but if you paid another £4 you can cancel up to 24 hrs before the journey. That gives me some security if this spygate carry on develops further.
I use the trains a lot but from memory I don't think they do any sort of top up cover should you be forced into cancellation?
It seems to me that we are the innocent victims in this sorry affair and all of us are being expected to gamble with our finances...What a shocking way to be treated when we've done nothing wrong here!!
