That is really sad news. I’ve never met the fella in person, but this site is a community. Had lots of chats and occasional private messages.
RIP Kempton
Same here, had a few spats on here with him because we all have different opinions, and we exchanged the occasional pm too. No malice in his posts, and he was obviously a City fan but with his own personal problems ( which we all to have to be fair) No age, and his comments will be missed, as he will be in life by those who knew and loved him.. Deepest sympathys and respect to him, his family and friends.

Can we do anything for him or his memory as a community?
How about a wall plaque inside the stadium somewhere? Friends of mine have chipped in before on occasions like this and it's quite sobering to see someone's name, and a quote of some sort, on the concourse wall on matchdays.

Sorry to hear this news. I never knew Kempton, but what he posted on here was always worth a read. At 58 he is younger than me - and probably younger than a few of us on here. I've always thought Shankly's quote about life, death and football was bollox - and when something like this happens it only strengthens my view. I think the Beatles had it right in their song "We can work it out." - "Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting, my friends."

RIP Kempton
