Well is he just a bitter man or does he know something we don't. He reckons Ashley will defo not reinvest the Carroll cash and sell 2 more before he sells the club which will be best thing for NUFC fans. Personally I think he might not be that far off the mark just because people take it for granted the money is there who is to say that Ashley will not bank season ticket money, sell Enrique keep Carroll cash and then see if he can flog the club it is obvious to me he has no ambition and is now looking for the best way out for him to get as much money before selling Any views I know I am a bitter and twisted Ashley hater but not much positive is coming out of the club and I hate the way we just lie down and die against teams like Liverpool it's almost like we expect it.

Personally I think it will be invested purely because it needs to and if MA does spend £20/30m this summer the club has every chance of moving well up the table, increasing it's value by more than the amount he puts in. Put simply, he can put £30-40m in this summer and sell the club for £60-70m (random guess!) more than he could without the investment this summer.

I don't think it's particularly smart of Keegan to come out and say this though. We all know he doesn't like the owners and will take this with a pinch of salt... yeah it's his opinion but it smacks of a little dig at MA

Keegan loves this club and the fans, and he has the inside track over just how Ashley operates. Keegan is as honest as they come and wears his heart on his sleeve whereas Ashley is mendacious and greedy and would walk over our still warm corpses to turn a profit.

If Ashley sold two more and cleared off I'd see that as a positive transfer window. At least we could move on. I fear Ashley is just going to stay here, using the club as a vehicle to exchange players in the transfer market with no care over where the club finishes so long as we're still in the top flight.

Like we did when we beat them 3-1, or when we beat/drew with arsenal, or when we drew with Man U <doh>

When i watched and read the quotes by Keegan i actually come to a different conclusion. Was this a bit of reverse psycology on Ashley by Keegan? Its unlike Keegan to play mind games. By saying he wont invest and that he'll keep the money is he trying to wind him up (Ashley)? Keegan cost him a fare old whack and he seems the type of charcter who would go ahead and do preciesly the opposite to what Keegan is saying just to prove him wrong.

Perhaps hes trying to help us out by playing a game with Ashley to invest in the club.

Either that or ive been watching to much Prison Break.

You don't become a self-made billionaire by cutting your nose to spite your face. That may have been Keegan's intention but I doubt Ashley will even see Keegan's comments, let alone allow them to influence the way he runs one of his businesses.

True, but this is no ordinary self-made billionaire, its Mike Ashley!!! The man who brought us Joe Kinnear and a casino manager as chairman.

Hes bitter and twisted (But who could blame him with the way he was treated), i cant see him not investing it, why?, if he invests the money wisely and effectively then it would increase the value of the club, however i do agree with keegan that when he sells up then it will be a happy day for all of us

Mike might not be popular with the fans, but at least he isn't purely making decisions that will keep the fans happy (as a certain previous owner did and ran up a huge debt doing so) and is being prudent with wage bills, investment in scouting and underground heating at the training center.

I'm optimistic about the summer ahead. We need to think about bulking out our squad (as to avoid the injury and suspension problems that we've faced this season) and bringing in a couple of quality strikers who along with Leon Best will give us some good attacking options.

If next season we can bring in the players that we need, keep hold of Tiote, Arfa & Barton. Then I think we could have one hell of a season. Here's hoping <cheers>

Keegan is just building Ashley up as the villain to make himself look like the good guy in the whole 'Keegangate' episode.

You really don't have to though Kevin I think people know what went on there.
