Early speculation seems to be a bit underwhelming, but I wonder if that’s because we’re targeting “easier” transfer business early on for players more readily available.
I did hear somewhere we’re only allowed a £60 million loss in line with the Premier League financial regulations. This implies we’re probably not going to be as free-spending as we arguably need to be. The only real saleable asset we have (that would move the needle above £15m odd) is Davis, and I’d rather keep him for at least one more season.
