Is available on a free. Not sure what kind of wages he'd want but he's a cracking keeper. Worth a punt anyone??

Coming from Inter, via QPR, formerly rated world no.1, his wages will be over £100k a week. No way!

Nope. An expensive trinket is not what we need imo.

KW gets the jersey for me as a reward for putting his career on hold for over a year to wait for an opportunity. At 29 he is perfectly aged to be our number one for the next 4 or 5 years imo and for a fraction of the wages of Cesar.

QPR keeper Julio Cesar could be a replacement for Simon Mignolet at Sunderland, according to reports in Italy.

Mignolet completed his £11million move to Liverpool yesterday, with back-up Keiren Westwood expected to succeed him as first-choice Sunderland stopper next season.

But there is speculation in Italy that Cesar could be a target for the Black Cats, with the 33-year-old expected to leave relegated QPR this summer.

Roma were thought to be on the verge of sealing a move for the Brazilian, yet Sunderland have now been mooted as showing late interest in the former Inter Milan keeper.

But Cesar is on a lucrative contract at Loftus Road, estimated to be in excess of £80,000 a week, which would be far in excess of anything Sunderland were willing to pay.
