Welcome Julien, hopefully he can make a positive impact and attract some new talent (cheap of course).

I'm reserving judgement until 15 games in.

Clive has obviously had this written for a while...long, in depth analysis

Very long and doesn't seem to reach any conclusion.

What I take from this is that Stephan might be an inspired appointment, or perhaps not. He might play 4-4-2, or he might not. He might be attack-minded, or maybe not.

Let's wait and see, but I'm anticipating an exciting, attacking 4-4-2 which will see us into the play-offs.

That's the spirit! I'll give you until mid-October when your schizophrenic other half decides you want another change <laugh><laugh>

Oh, and I won’t be cautiously offering my support but withholding judgement until after 10 or 15 games. Or 5 seasons.

I expect us to hit the ground running in August, playing brilliant football and dazzling all and sundry. Our new God Stephan will be hailed as a genius and be tapped up by City to replace Guardiola in November.

I am totally confident in this outcome*

* budget permitting

The fact that he has played 2 up top excites me more than anything Marti tried. One up top just doesn't work for us. We just offered no support from our other attacking players.
Formations only count for so much. Usually it's the quality of players within the formation that counts.
Looking forwards to a new season under a new manager..

I have no interest in his first interview or anything else he or the club has to say on the matter. All that matters is how well he manages the players and what kind of football he gets us playing.

However, his past experience is encouraging.

That's literally all I have to say on this subject and all I'm willing to pay mind to on it!

At first I thought your post was a bit harsh but the more I thought about it and after watching the interview, I think you're right. Doesn't really matter what he says or doesn't say, performances and results are what he will be judged on. Rab c Nesbit could spout the same as all new managers do in these media clips.

The good thing is he seems to have sensible, experienced back room staff. If we can Poku and a 'proper' striker be it Celar or Kelman firing then we could be going places. The Reading lad seems the 'right sort' for starters
