Like I think someone said before; if you're 16-17 then it will be only be paid in exception circumstances. So I'm not sure if you would be entitled to it, but I think if you told them that you were looking for work then they probably would let you.

If you live at home with your parents(gaurdians) you will not get it, regardless of the situation. If you live outside the home in any shape or form (outside prison or any other institution) you will get it.
Love the 'lets blame it on the foreigners' theory. If people look harder then jobs are available. Too many people are being fussy and choosing to stay on benefits rather than get off their arse and work for a living.
