That's ****e. I dislike the ****s, but stick with the discussion, as it has merit. I am more interested with the timing of these offers, how vocal had Josh been in the dressing room. There's plenty we don't know.
It's poor form letting an academy player that looks decent leave for a potential pittance. If we're into that game then we may as well stop the academy now. What's a tribunal fee going to pocket us - £200k? Peanuts.
Good point made. First decent prem prospect and we cant sort a contract out on a player who could be worth a few million. Odd indeed
Stoke isn't his preferred choice. He'd prefer to stay. The problem is no contract forthcoming and the other interested PL sides have only shown interest. Unless they offer something too, Stoke seems the most likely but not definite.
No contract forthcoming= none whatsoever, or my agent keeps making demands which HCFC are not meeting?
In fact seeing that Robertson is a strong chance to go he is a natural left sided replacement. To replace Robertson won't be cheap. Something must be going on somewhere
I get the possibility of this but we are going to let him go for a pittance. With a contract we get some dosh. Saying this agents are ****s
There's been no discussion with him or his representatives since the reduced offer was rejected in September. A last ditch attempt to get the club to make an offer failed.
September?! **** me something stinks here. Unless Tymon has shagged Ehaw's sister then how the **** can the club not act on a situation that the whole club and supporter base has been painfully aware of for some considerable period of time. Defies belief quite frankly, so something stinks here as its not logical, even in the Allam parallel universe.
Agreed, one can only think there is something we don't know about. I'm not accusing Josh here but the fact that we can offer Lenihan and Maloney - 2 very fringe and 'debateable we should offer to' players - but not Tymon is just massively weird.
The difference there is one was making a number of appearances in a PL side while another only played for the U23s all season (between Lenihan and Tymon). It seems to be about cost and getting everything as cheaply as possible. Maloney didn't accept his contract. Makes you wonder if it was the offer or he had enough of the club like many of the other players have.
Whether Maloney turned it down and the reasons for that isn't the odd part at all, the interesting part is that Josh, seemingly by accounts of those who know him, wasn't offered one. I just cannot fathom any situation where that is logical. It's really interesting stuff.
It's scintillating. I agree. I know it's popular to paint Ehab as a potato but there is quite obviously more going on behind the scenes here. I wouldn't take much of the I know him vouches at face value, put yourself in his shoes his agents telling him he can get a £15k p/w contract, you don't go telling people you want a lot of money. If it gets out you know how that's gonna turn out. I wouldn't blame him either, much as we all wear Amber tinted glasses and all the accusations he'd get thrown at him if this is the case, how many people on here would seriously reject a big contract like that.
Just to counter this with perspective, Milan have offered 18 year old Gianluigi Donnarumma a €4m / €77k a week deal to tempt him to sign his first big contract. I'm guessing we earned more money than Milan last season.
He's played 72 first team games for AC and is a full Italian international, they're hardly comparable. And their revenue was over double ours last season.
Except this donnar guy going to be playing at the champions league level at some point And be italys number 1
