Tymon was royally ****ed about by City and even if he hadn't been, the offer from Stoke wouldn't have been turned down by many players in his position.

The Bowen situation was different, as soon as he made the first team, he was offered decent terms (just ten months after he'd signed his previous deal), that deal will have been for more than Tymon's on.

As I have always said, I would have made the same decision.

He could have signed that Hull City contract and broke his leg and never played again. He needed to secure, his and his families future whilst he could. None of us could predict the future and the sensible financial decision was to take the Stoke deal. Staying with Hull City was a complete and utter gamble based on the potential in him as a player and no facts.

I don't think he was advised wrong at all.

How is it different. Tymon could have taken the same terms Bowen was on prior. He could have played and possibly (unlikely) excelled. He could be in Bowen’s position now already earning more than the stoke deal just a short couple of months later and looking forward to a £20/30k at least weekly wage this summer.

I think he did the right thing, because he’s cack. He knows it, his agent knows it, his family know it, hence why they all advised him to take the money and run. But he is just another in a very long list of young footballers making **** decisions. It’s not like it was a hard one to call either, every single person on this forum predicted it would turn out this way.

He did the right thing but made a **** decision?

At least he's honest. And I don't blame him for making that move at the time.

Hindsight is 20/20.
I agree with Quill. The best super hero is Hindsight Man. Never goes to a job. Five years was a good contract offer with a prem club. Can’t believe City offered the same sort of money. Of course it was about money and security anyone would have taken the best deal on offer. Just a young kid being advised badly by others. Bad decision by the lad in terms of football development. Maybe he just didn’t like the toxic atmosphere at City and decided to do one. Can’t blame him for that.

"He's cack and he knows it, his agent knew it and his family knew it". Yet he made a **** decision in signing a five year deal with an EPL club?
<laugh>

Tymon could have signed a two year deal with us, and then gone down the same route as Adam Curry has. Curry may get fixed up elsewhere and revive his career, or he could be non-league all his career, in which case Tymon will have earned more with one contract than Curry will in his whole footballing career. Of course Tymon went for the money and, in my opinion, was right to do so, there's a clue as to why in his job title, 'professional footballer'.

I think it's easy to forget what it's like being 16 years old and it doesn't always work applying an older head to the same situation.
Who wouldn't want to leave at his age too, especially walking round Hull these days. Pretty sure I saw him score in Marcos first match v Swansea and they had a decent team out. Maybe he was advanced for his age but that doesn't mean that he will stop developing, Hope to see him in a City shirt again.

He signed for Sjoke about 2 weeks before Robbo left for Liverpool in July 2017.

Had he waited, he could have got all the appearances he wanted
Shame he wasn't mates with Robbo, could have got a heads-up about that. I'd have rather have seen Tymon develop with us than end up with the likes of Kingsley

He would be better off returning to his home town club.
If we can strike up a sensible deal with Stoke.

Looks like Stoke and the lad both took a gamble and it dident quite work out. If Tymon wants to play for us again and the club agree let’s have him back.

UTT.

Robbo going to Liverpool was known about well before the move came in. Andy himself said in an extended interview that Slutsky was asking him to play preseason but Robbo didn’t want to risk injury because he knew Liverpool were interested.
