From an early age I was told that going in hard would be less dangerous than pulling out.

.......like McOxo was. Still doesn't make the public naming and shaming right.

Logical really. Whoever goes in hardest is almost never the one who comes off worst.

Glimpses of the “old Jonny” in the second half last Saturday. The one who can run with the ball, make things happen with a deft touch, and arrive late in the box. When he’s on his game, we don’t have anyone similar.

Jonny revealed afterwards that he was motivated by the sight of his bete noir @dick plumb in the Stands, raging at him like Caliban from the Tempest.

Let’s hope the same trick works this evening.

I like the reference of Caliban. I like Williams as a man and he has got ability. But up to recently he hasn't been effective for us. He didn't score and spent too much time on the floor. Now he is looking much more like the player he should be. He was in the right place to score on Saturday. Let's hope he plays well again tonight.

With teams leaving forwards upfield to stop us playing it ahrt, Williams is just the man to help us catch them on the break. Now that the real Jonny Williams has stood up we've got to make the most of it until his next injury.
