It's been reported Jonas Gutierrez has testicular cancer.
Putting rivalries aside, get well soon Jonas.

Best wishes..........hope and pray everything turns out well......
I've just seen this on the news and on here, gutted for spiderman. Hope he gets well soon.
He gave us the runaround a couple of times over the years, very tricky player but massively inconsistent. I guess he just liked playing United.
I hope his recovery goes well and he's back on his feet in no time.
There's a rumour regarding Alan Pardew's treatment of him, not sure if there's any truth in it but if it is true, Pardew should be shot in the face in public.
I'm no fan of Pardew, but this rumour is taking things too far. It seems to have been started by some of our 'anti-everything' supporters looking at the argentinian press release and seeing the opportunity to have a cheap dig at Pardew. The translation of that interview says that Jonas went back to Newcastle after his latest treatment but then he was told to leave. I think its the case that he was told to go home and be with his family and that his contract would be honoured up until the end of the season. This would fit in on Smug's other thread about the idiots who take protesting too far. Anyone who would pick up on this as a chance to have a dig at Pardew (and I'm referring to the original rumour, not you Terry) ought to take a good look at themselves in the mirror. It is disrespectful to Jonas' bravery in deciding to go public to raise awareness, to anyone who has battled the disease and to anyone who has lost loved ones to this horrible disease.
I did take that one with a pinch of salt to be fair, the guy is a **** manager and a bit of a chopper but he doesn't seem that bad as a human being to do something like that.
I remember your MD being quoted a few years ago about Andy Carroll though, something along the lines of "They don't know how nasty we can be".
